But on Thursday, Dr. Chris Braden of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told reporters in Ohio that "we have started to look at the possibility that she had symptoms going back as far as Saturday. ... We can't rule out (that) she might have had the start of her illness on Friday."

Please do not tell me you are so biased against US Healthcare workers that you would remotely imply an RN,

Amber Vinson, WHO CONTACTED THE CDC SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE HER PLANE TRIP HOME

hid anything from the SOB at CDC who is undoubtedly simply trying to keep his/her job.

PLEASE??!!!!!!!!
Her uncle was just on CNN. Said that she talked to someone either at the state or (more than likely) hospital. That person she called said asked her to hold while she made some phone calls. Picked the phone back up and said she was OK to fly.

She DID NOT call the CDC.

I am beginning to think that the hospital is just in solid cover up mode on this. They even put out a tasteless video where they are talking to Nina Phen before she left for Maryland. The person talking to her made sure to thank her for "volunteering" for the team.

I can see why the CDC wanted her and the 2nd nurse out of there.

Who is this person mentioned in the CNN article above?

Is it possible she spoke to someone in the Dallas County office or state health department?

HTF did she get a hold of the """"""""STATE DEPT""""""""???

How EXACTLY would she have gotten that number, Hater?

......and who would this supposed """""""State Dept"""""""" individual have called? . . . . . . Someone at the Dept of Interior? The National Security Advisor? or Someone at the CDC?

Someone who was brought back to the US from one of the hot zones. Too early for the MSNBC guy. Maybe they meant Oct 9th, because >30 days seems like a long time. They are usually about 10 days in before being diagnosed.

You do understand, hater, that Thomas Frieden testified today under oath that she DID call CDC.

RIGHT?

Yeah. Her uncle is a "total hater".

How would she have gotten the Texas State Health Dept number? Are you really asking me that? And btw, it wasn't clear who she called besides the fact that she did not call the CDC (the person she talked to told her that they were going to try to call the CDC). I am guessing it was the hospital, Texas Presbyterian.

What? Unless she got to 100.4 or higher, she never had a fever.

What are you asking?

You keep downplaying her own culpability in this situation just because she was not running a "faver" of 100+ degrees. Well I'm sorry but that's complete bullshite. She was a healthcare professional who had been caring for a patient with a disease that has a 70% mortality rate and now her own body temp was elevated. Common sense screams she should stay isolated even if her temp remained 98.6. For her to get on a commercial airliner full of people under these circumstances with an elevated body temp, even if it's not over 100, is totally fricked up.

So as there was directly contradictory testimony under oath today, why the hate?

Do you hate Amber Joy Vinson because she is a nurse? because she is black? or because she is a woman?

Do tell.

So you're saying the CDC is lying about their contact with her?

quote:

When Vinson called in to the CDC, the staffer she talked with looked on the agency's website for guidance, the spokesperson said. The category for "uncertain risk" had guidance saying that a person could fly commercially if they did not meet the threshold of a temperature of 100.4.

No. I must be missing something bc this is their full "list":

quote:

Vinson was flown Wednesday to Atlanta's Emory University Hospital, where her uncle and family spokesman Lawrence Vinson characterized her as "stable."

Workers at that hospital -- which previously treated Americans Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol for Ebola -- are also caring for an unnamed person with Ebola who came there September 9Kent

Another person being treated for the virus, freelance NBC cameraman Ashoka Mukpo, is "getting better every day" at Nebraska Medical Center, said hospital spokesman Taylor Wilson of Thursday.

The fourth person with Ebola in the United States, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital nurse Nina Pham, is heading to a National Institutes of Health hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, just outside Washington.

Also, I think it's more likely that Gibson's family member misspoke than the CDC took responsibility for OKing her flight home if they didn't make the call. If fact, the CDC said that they made a, "bad call" by allowing her to fly back to Dallas

Very Ordinary.

He isn't saying ordinary citizens suck.
He is saying US healthcare workers suck.

His statement is that two twentysomething girls, who have potentially sacrificed their lives in interest of healthcare, suck. That is his statement.

They likely made those statements based on what the hospital told them as well as Ms. Vinson. The latest press release says the following:
quote:

Based on additional information obtained during interviews of close contacts to the second healthcare worker from Texas Presbyterian Hospital who tested positive for Ebola, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is expanding its outreach to airline passengers now to include those who flew from Dallas Fort Worth to Cleveland on Frontier flight 1142 on Oct. 10.

Her friends and/or family dimed her out. And a lot of people are grateful that they did.
