re: Ebola: The tale of two networks

Are you saying you personally would have skin to skin contact with someone you know has Ebola and had a fever so long as they're not shitting themselves or throwing up?
What I don't understand is that if gay dudes are into guys, why do so many of them try so hard to look and act like women?
I'll bet if Obama had a son he'd look just like these good boys.

each person who has gotten sick has spread Evola to only about two others.

If that math is true, and the average person with Ebola gives it to two people... Then this country better hit its knees and pray to the Lord for His mercy from the holocaust that we are about to experience.

Are you saying they just made this story up?

This board questions the motives of the consensus of scientists who report on science but accepts at face value anyone who is basically a poo thrower.
Especially considering John Coleman isn't even a meteorologist, much less a climatologist.

I noticed you said nothing about William Harper. Wonder why?

quote:

William Happer (born July 27, 1939[1]) is an American physicist who has specialised in the study of atomic physics, optics and spectroscopy.[2] He is the Cyrus Fogg Brackett[3] Professor of Physics at Princeton University,[2] and a long-term member of the JASON advisory group,[1] where he pioneered the development of adaptive optics. From 1991-93, Happer served as director of the Department of Energy's Office of Science. Happer is a vocal skeptic of certain statements regarding global warming.

John Coleman, who co-founded the Weather Channel, shocked academics by insisting the theory of man-made climate change was no longer scientifically credible.

And he's getting backup as well...
quote:

Climate expert William Happer, from Princeton University, supported Mr Coleman's claims. He added: "No chemical compound in the atmosphere has a worse reputation than CO2, thanks to the single-minded demonisation of this natural and essential atmospheric gas by advocates of government control and energy production. "The incredible list of supposed horrors that increasing carbon dioxide will bring the world is pure belief disguised as science."
Whats so funny? It's pretty much established historic fact that it was the Church that pulled western civilization from The Dark Ages. Who do you think established virtually every institute of higher learning in the western world starting in the Middle Ages and even earlier?
quote:

No it's not religious oppression I hope happens, it's religious eradication I seek. Nothing good ever comes from religion. Nothing. Never has. Never will.

If not for the Christan Church we'd still be in the dark ages.

If thats the case where did the notion of his vasty superior reputation come from?
quote:

What the frick are you babbling about? I have commented very little on this event here, and I have merely pointed out irresponsible use of language --which denotes certainty-- and the fact that someone with a vastly superior reputation disagrees with these findings.

Someone is lying here. Either this guy with the "vastly superior reputation" or the docs who did the official autopsy. Which one do you find more believable and why?

Strategic deterrence pretty much ensures that major superpowers aren't going to go into a full scale war in the age of nuclear weapons.

WWIII would surely be the end of life on Earth.

Experts claimed in 1914 that a general European War was impossible in the new enlightened age of the 20th century. After all, it had been a century since a large scale war had been fought in Europe.

They named the war they claimed would never happen The War To End All Wars even before the guns fell silent, so sure was the experts that this would be the last war of its kind. They were proven wrong 20 years later.

What? Unless she got to 100.4 or higher, she never had a fever.

What are you asking?

You keep downplaying her own culpability in this situation just because she was not running a "faver" of 100+ degrees. Well I'm sorry but that's complete bullshite. She was a healthcare professional who had been caring for a patient with a disease that has a 70% mortality rate and now her own body temp was elevated. Common sense screams she should stay isolated even if her temp remained 98.6. For her to get on a commercial airliner full of people under these circumstances with an elevated body temp, even if it's not over 100, is totally fricked up.
This thing kills between 50-70% of everyone who gets it. If necessary shut down entry into the US for anyone traveling from anywhere in Africa for commercial or private reasons. The only travel between here and there should be restricted to only medical personel for the purpose of fighting this virus. And anytime one of these people return, they are quarantined in an isolated camp for a minimum of something like 45 days.

All of that is very doable.

what they need is screening at airports, whch they have implemented in the 4 airports with direct flights to africa. Although it really should be done in europe too.

This, upvote

I'm guessing neither of you realize the guy who died in Dallas the other day would have passed right through these screenings they are doing at those 4 airports had they actually been doing screenings when he came through.

There is only one full proof method of ensuring a virus like Ebola does not spread, that's through isolation of those who carry the virus. Screening at airports will not work. The only way to stop it is to isolate those areas where it's currently being seen.

quote:

Vinson told CBS Dallas Fort Worth that she was feeling ill before boarding her flight. She had a low grade fever, but she said that officials told her it was okay to get on the plane. Vinson told CBS that she called the CDC several times with concerns.

This stupid bitch knew she had been exposed Ebola and she knew she was not feeling well BEFORE boarding a flight? frick her.

You're analogy is very tenuous. But, if they can show relevance, discovery is discovery.

LOL. You're pretty slow. The whole point of my post was that asking for her sex history has no reverence and the only reason to threaten to subpoena such information would be to use it to intimidate and humiliate her. In other words, they'd be doing to her exactly what she's trying to do to them.

It relates to the lawsuit about as much as those sermons. That's the point.

They are doing it because of a citizen lawsuit. That's direct intimidation.

No. The churches were apart of the process that led to the lawsuit.

So you'd be OK if the Churches had their lawyers subpoena the mayor to turn over a list of everyone she's ever had a lesbian encounter with? Perhaps also demand a list of all homosexuals working in the Houston City Government and everyone they had homosexual encounters with as well. After all, those encounters were part of the process that lead to all this, right?
