Then you are an idiot.

Sorry you’re a coward.
It's pathetic.
My HS football coach prayed before every game. Almost all players participated. I was an atheist then too.
Ya know what my reaction was? "No big deal. It's important to them and it doesn't affect me. I politely stood there as the prayer happened. Then, went on the field with my team"
People like Eurocat expect the world to be one where they never have to just fricking be polite when what's happening isn't their favorite.

Since you favor outright religion in schools, you have no problem with this, right?
One of these is not like the other. Did you read the linked article? On the one hand you have faculty and staff barred from leading voluntary extracurricular activities. On the other hand, faculty is teaching school-mandated curriculum.
I have no problem with the teaching of the World's major religions as a part of World History. My wife is a teacher and does this. Since nearly 100% of student questions concern Christianity, she also uses it as an opportunity to share and model her faith. All perfectly legal.

Question: Why do some atheists expend sooo much effort, time and money hating something that they believe doesn't exist? Why do they want to force their unbelief on others?
Evangelical atheists are wayyyy more obnoxious than Evangelical Christians could ever dream of being.

Because I wasn't an a-hole. 3 years, not a fricking peep. From ANYONE. On a 5A team in a HS with more than 3000 students. Not ONE word

There's no way this was in the South, was it?
Because I've heard that - in the South - the coaches, principals, and parents keep tabs on all the students and make sure that they all pray. And if they don't, they form lynch mobs and beat them with hard-cover bibles until they either convert or leave town.

Fantasyland. I suppose it's not unheard of. But, in a nation of 360 million people, NOTHING is unheard of.

Oh yeah? No, he really is right though. You may not have played sports, but when you’re on a team wearing the same uniform, you either get with the program and submit yourself, or prepare to get ostracized/questioned/belittled/bullied. The baws just wanted to look like good baws. Got girl’s parents watching and judging. This is south louisiana. I don’t know where you live but around here you better bow that head and close your eyes. Baw

Your socialist bubble is making you a sheep.
No one cares what you think because you are weak.
Those kids have the right to stand up and pray and I hope you socialists don't ever change that. Stick to your big cities and turn them into your Godless utopia. See how that works out for you.

He’s right though. It really is peer pressured/bullied. My high school football team liked to pray “voluntarily” If you wanted the the hot chicks and not get bullied by 6’6” 265 lb linemen, you better shut those eyes and bow that head. Lol You’d get ostracized as frick for not assimilating.
No you wouldn't. We used to pray before baseball games and a couple guys just trying to be edgy would whisper "F God" during the whole prayer. We just called them idiots and then went and won baseball games. No one bullied them into praying.

Baws baws baws..., so far, we've got several people already admitting their disgust for an atheist athlete or student quietly and respectfully sitting out of the groupthink prayer. Can't help themselves. The sand in their vag is so irritating.
"idiots, pussies, wannabe rebels, wannabe edgey"
Melt.

How is the right to choose to participate or not "mandatory"?
Do you think a person has the right to choose?

Then it's a choice. Put up a fake persona to impress a girl or don't. Just like men have done for 6000 years.
