He will cave or go out of business.

No matter what anyone thinks, almost any business in America cannot withstand losing a large chunk of business overnight.

Let's see how "resolute" this douchebag is when he's looking at idle office time and dropping staff he can't pay.

Anyone who doesn't CHOOSE to get this vaccine should stay he course, unless the goal is to crash the economy these tactics won't work. No one is striving to crash the economy, right?

Un-vaxxed patient: "But Doctor, you treat all these other conditions that people have based on their lifestyle. It's shameful simultaneously refusing to treat someone who feels this vaccine is not safe. You seem like you are wanting to have it both ways. What about the Hippocratic Oath?"

Doctor: "Oh, wait you said it's called the HIPPOCRATIC Oath? Sorry I didn't hear it pronounced correctly in med school I guess."

Right wingers passed laws in right wing states all over the country that allow doctors to refuse to treat people based on moral or conscious objections.

This is exactly what you wanted, right?

Gang members and fat people aren't the ones filling up our ICU beds. Alabama is at capacity. No reason why selfish morons who intentionally chose not to get vaxxed should get all these beds and prevent others from having ICU beds for normal ICU issues.

I see all the time here how COVID isn't a big deal and is too harmless to necessitate an emergency vaccine treatment and all the infrastructure that goes with it. If that's the choice you make, you shouldn't be allowed to kill people through taking up all emergency care staff and facilities.

We could set up alternative treatment centers filled with people who have "done their research" through google and they can take care of you since you don't trust actual doctors enough to take their advice anyway.

By “treat” you mean kill their baby?

Yes. We did pass those laws.

This is a faulty comparison but you really don't want to go down that rabbit hole Mr. My Body, My Choice!

Most are probably better off not being "treated", particularly if the "treatment" involves Remdesivir, ventilators and induced comas.

Yes, they are. Idiot.

Normal ICU occupancy is 80%. Those people haven’t gone away.

How many Covid patients are in ICU in Alabama?

I’d assume 2 things about this hypocrite: His opinion has always been “health care is a human right,” and he’s all about bakers/florists being forced to serve the gays.

This is an excellent deflection, but nothing you typed is the actual issue at hand.

Doctors swear an oath to do no harm. The treatment standard has never been "this was preventable, and im annoyed by you, so I'm not treating you."

That is a slippery slope and it goes against everything doctors stand for.

And FYI fat people use more healthcare capacity than almost anyone else. I know you are just spewing BS without data to back it up, but here are the facts:

quote:

According to the National Institutes of Health, obesity and overweight together are the second leading cause of preventable death in the United States, close behind tobacco use (3). An estimated 300,000 deaths per year are due to the obesity epidemic

LINK

So if you are going to be so fervently against people who choose not to get vaccinated, hopefully you will also champion this cause and shame fat people too. Both are preventable, and that is the new standard. Think of all the people those docs could help if fat people didnt take up services and beds!

Here's a decent read:

Bottom line, some people assume ICU's are supposed to be empty waiting for a disaster...a pretty unsustainable business model.

Study on ICU Rates

quote:

Over the three years studied, total ICU occupancy ranged from 57.4% to 82.1% and the number of beds filled with mechanically ventilated patients ranged from 20.7% to 38.9%. There was no change in occupancy across years and no increase in occupancy during influenza seasons. Mean hourly occupancy across ICUs was 68.2% SD ± 21.3, and was substantially higher in ICUs with fewer beds (mean 75.8% (± 16.5) for 5–14 beds versus 60.9% (± 22.1) for 20+ beds, P = 0.001), and in academic hospitals (78.7% (± 15.9) versus 65.3% (± 21.3) for community not-for profit hospitals, P < 0.001). More than half (53.6%) of ICUs had 4+ beds available more than half the time. The mean percentage of ICU patients receiving mechanical ventilation in any given hour was 39.5% (± 15.2), and a mean of 29.0% (± 15.9) of ICU beds were filled with a patient on a ventilator.

Repeated booster jabs may be lethal researcher warns

LINK - https://ussanews.com/News1/2021/08/19/repeated-booster-jabs-may-be-lethal-researcher-warns/

Claims Telomerase enzyme is adversely impacted causing eventual negative effects of the immune system to refresh itself over time, and become compromised.

quote:

The vaccine “turns off transcription of/depletes AUF1 and WRN deleting telomeres,”

quote:

“With this activity is inhibited, it takes time for the inevitable immune cell exhaustion to appear. This may be the signature Trojan Horse ‘gift’ of the spike. Whatever short-lived immune response is fool’s gold replacing the ability of the immune system to replenish itself.”

Spike proteins “may be chronically present” in the injected and “continually suppressing telomerase”.

Without telomerase, “key cells in the body are unable to replenish themselves and ‘run out’ well before they should in the course of a normal lifespan,” explained researcher Elizabeth Blackburn.

Current estimates of occupancy are also limited in that they do not consider potential variation in utilization patterns across ICUs of different type or size

This is the number I have been trying to track down. I think most ICUs around the country are 25-30% underutilized when they are reporting 98% capacity. I haven't been able to find it. I know it's in their charters to have that kind of excess capacity for them to be operational by law.
