nah im just able to understand the dynamics of the middle east

Because in this case us just being there is the deterrent AND the action.
I doubt we have any sorties or missions planned, they're just going as a badass show of force in order to quell any possible plans the Iranians may have.

He wasn't a good hire by Trump. His lack of understanding how the Middle East works is amazing for such a high level official.

Including F-22s. The carrier isn’t really needed. All you need is a few of the right subs, a few of the right destroyers, and those F-22s in Qatar to basically decimate the war making ability of Iran.
Then if they are still giving the finger.. there are some bored Apache and A-10 pilots who would love to bat cleanup.
