The captain of an aircraft carrier struggling with a coronavirus outbreak will reportedly be relieved from command after a letter he penned pleading for help leaked to the media.

Citing unnamed U.S. officials, Reuters reported Capt. Brett Crozier is expect to be relieved from command of the USS Theodore Roosevelt, with one official saying a formal announcement could come as soon as Thursday.

Crozier wrote a letter to Navy leaders that was obtained and published by the San Francisco Chronicle on Tuesday, showing him warning of dire consequences if most of the sailors on Roosevelt aren’t evacuated.

Officials told Reuters he would be relieved from command because the Navy believes he is one who leaked the letter, not because he wrote it. LINK

Imagine a captain of a carrier in 1940 leaking something that gives the enemy detailed information about our naval readiness.

Now imagine it’s 2020 and not 1940. That memo does not give detailed information about our naval readinessp

Being relieved of command, I am guess he was the source of the leak. But, this is speculation. Whoever leaked it needs to be put on trial and dropped in the ocean with a boat anchor attached.

You're in charge of one of the most important pieces of national defense and leak shite like that, you deserve to be relieved of command.

Yeah, the poster on here the other night claimed he was a sailor on board that carrier. He called the captain a hero for doing that.

If he leaked it he should not only lose his command but his pension as well. He should be broke down to LT. JG and booted.

What? Telling the whole world there's a deadly virus aboard our aircraft carrier is the definition of poor opsec. Someone that highly ranked should know better.

Sad that he can't handle a flu. Our military is soft AF - losers in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Had a navy vessel commandeered by Iran several years back and all sailers were held hostage and gunpoint like cucks.
