As a black person, that image makes me sad. Whites went from Kitty Hawk to the Moon landing in 60 years. Nothing comparable has been done in Africa.
The other day, I watched a mini documentary on the giant wooden scooters that are used in the Congo, and the sentiment was “that’s so innovative!”
The bar is so low and it’s just blindly accepted.

Read Heart of Darkness . What the Belgians oversaw in the Congo makes American and British slavery seem almost enlightened.

Perhaps African leaders can offer more slaves for sale. I'm sure the kleptocratic government has some critics that they can sell. Islam can buy them.

They are correct. European post colonialism meddling virtually destroyed any chance Africa had at independence. The British also meddled in the Middle East and Asia; virtually everywhere that has had issues. They need to be thrown into the ash heap of history

they should subtract for the massive investments made - education, industry, infrastructure, cost to end slavery, etc.
They'll be owed money.
They'll be owed money.

You are aware Europeans invested very little in infrastructure compared to resources they extracted? Very little

Extracting resources from a conquered people is legal by natural law. Trying to extract cash from someone whose ancestors conquered you 500 years ago is not legal by court law. All aid needs to be ceased to them, including private charity, 3rd worlder breeding is out of control.
Ethiopia (only African nation to avoid being colonized for a significant period of time) as an example went from a population of about 10m around WW2 to 140m today despite having several wars, civil wars, and famines over that time period

Only in your imagination.
What did they invade them 25 years after independence and burn their capital in a war after shooting up their trading ships?
Cause they did that to us, and we are fine.
Weak people need excuses for what they always were.

I am not supporting reparations in any form. I am merely pointing out that they do have a point in the British screwed up nearly everything

Funny thing about leftist notions of history...

No, they weren't screwed by the British anymore than we were, in fact far less.
They didn't make anything of their freedom because they were corrupt and didn't value freedom.
They were too weak to win it, it was given to them, it didn't cost them anything.
So they never did anything with it.

The entire continent was divided into countries based on the previous colonial boundaries that were solely created to cause internal divisions.

You are uncritically spewing leftist history.
Not to support European colonialism, but they did create railroads, roads, schools, a non-witch doctor medical system and modern agriculture. When power returned to the native tribes almost all of that went back to the bush.

Too fricking bad, what are they children?
85 IQ people who should have never been allowed to rule themselves?
How idiot childlike do you think Africans are?

So they sold each other into slavery and now they want reparations for it? Is that what I’m hearing? But then, some weak white leaders will go all in and figure out a way to exploit it and get richer.

Americans went to the moon in 66 years.
Europeans, Russians and Canadians still haven't.
Americans of all races were involved in our moon landing, across the country from Florida at Canaveral to Virginia at Langley, Ohio, at Dayton, Alabama at Redstone, Texas at Houston.

In 1969, the U.S. space program (Apollo) was at its peak, employing roughly 400,000 people, involving 20,000+ firms/universities, and costing $\sim$$25 billion ($187 billion in 2024) to achieve the firstMoon landing. The effort featured the 363-foot Saturn V rocket and 40 orbital launches.

The bar was high at Langley and people stepped up.
