You know what I do when someone is giving a speech that I don't agree with? I dont freaking attend. You know what I do when I hear 2 people discussing a topic that I don't agree with? I keep on walking and mind my own business. Jesus H. Christ, how hard is it to realize that not everyone agrees and some might even talk about the stuff they disagree with you about, with other people who have the same stance on particular issues. Shite like this makes me really believe mental illness plays a huge part in a lot of these people's actions.

The ACLU shift has been fricking disgraceful.

They are basically just another leftist organization with little moral authority.

Liberalism eventually leads to this once you buy in.

They used to be (and barring this memo going in to effect, still are) a pretty principled organization in regards to defending the rights of those they disagree with, but I imagine that the changing of the guard, in terms of age demographics and JD holders who want to be a part of the ACLU, will create a much different organization.

I agree.

I've defended the ACLU consistently and vehemently on this board. If they actually go in this direction, they will lose my support.

They still are. Your being ignorant of the work they have been doing doesn't make them irrelevant.

I think the memo is more indicative of the direction they have been heading rather than a major change in policy.
