Since Roe v Wade is a Hot Topic I did a quick research on the number of abortions around the world.

It's estimated between 40 and 50 million abortions happen each year worldwide, or 125000 per day.

These massive numbers are hard to believe.

In the United States, we average about 650,000 abortions per year.

China, a staggering 23 million abortions per year. 23 million!!!! That's like NY, LA, Chicago and Houston combined in population numbers.

Abortion is a very controversial and tough subject, and these numbers make me wonder if the planet could handle every birth?

Crazy! Glad none of this is up to me...

Because not a single woman would change their habits if they knew they would be having every baby they conceive, right?

Uh no. The only reason we haven't had a plague whipe out half the population is because of modern medicine. If you look at humans like you do other animals, we are overpopulated as frick

Oh? Look at the population growth over the last 200 years.

We can’t, and the earth can’t, continue to support that kind of growth. It’s a fricking fact.

And if you’re trying to parlay this into I’m some omgz the earf hippy who thinks all the oceans fish will die in the next 30 years, you couldn’t be more wrong.

So, pray tell. How am I a fricking moron

Would it be a good public health choice to remove medical practitioners from that many procedures? I don’t think that abortion would disappear if made illegal, that would just take physicians out of it.

If we stopped subsidizing it, this would take care of itself

I see your point, but it isn't going to make me go along with abortion to better society or prevent over population.

At least here in America, instead of willingly killing fetuses for the sake of population control.... I would much rather....

-Get rid of all illegals ( 30-50 million) and make it even harder to get in with tougher screenings(IQ and education requirements). Don't expect me to care about other less fortunate countries when our very own isn't even fixed yet.

-Death penalty( fast track) for murderers and rapists that can be proven with video or DNA evidence.

Those 2 things alone would cut our population in the U.S. by 15%+.

- heavy emphasis in all schools that stress the importance of responsible reproduction.

If the population is still booming , then look into penalties or even humane but forced sterilization for people that have more than 3 children.

I will never, EVER, be for killing unborn children before they are given a chance to prove their worth.

Remember the commercial "reading is fundamental"? It's a lost art with many and that number keeps growing. I responded to one of them.
