re: ABC, National Parks are racist

Don’t forget time. Unless you live in Vegas, Southern California, or Phoenix, the Grand Canyon (like most national parks) is really remote. It takes days (multiple) to drive there, and unless you bring or rent camping gear, lodging isn’t cheap. That means the cost of getting there is either a whole lot of pto to drive there or a whole lot of money to fly there and then rent a vehicle. Most inner-city folks don’t have cars, and poor working class people don’t often get a ton of vacation time at work. I can understand why a lot of people don’t want to or can’t afford to visit national parks when they’re more than a day or two’s drive from where they live.
