I agree with everything you said. Especially

but until that happens we are stuck in a cultural civil war with people who don't share American values and are bitterly opposed to a return to that path.

Yes, the law IS a cultural matter. It is 99% cultural. Try doing Law the American way in.. say, Haiti. They are wholly unsuited to it.
What are you talking about?
you think an american lawyer couldn’t figure out how to practice law in Haiti? Or france?
American law is based on statutes and jurisprudence.
Acting like a guy who immigrated from canada and became a citizen can’t figure that out is baseless.

I'm sure Haitian Law of Cannabalistic Barbecue would make a fantastic Law School class.

Neither was Elon Musk. Maybe we need someone else to run DOGE.
The problem isn't that they're foreign born, it's that they're willing to adopt tortured interpretations of the law to fit their liberal world view.

Ok so the basis of your argument is just racism.

Last I heard, Haiti was taken over by a feller nicknamed BBQ.
Reality doesn't equal racism, but your accusation is a good example of citizens being white/American shamed into accepting all kinds of bullshite.

has 15 judges, (Counting Chief Judge James Boasberg) and five of them were born outside the United States
Absolutely absurd.

yeah man this is just white guilt on my part.
Maybe you mean culturally we respect the rule of law and they don’t.
Which is why it would be a travesty for the President to ignore the courts.

Judges should be born in the USA only. Foreigners are just different.
DC should not have any role in the Federal Judiciary.

We have a citizenship requirement but i’d support a required period of residency or citizenship before taking the bench.
you have judges like Sri Srinivasan who is maybe one of the smarted and legally sound judges in the country who immigrate here as a child.
Clerked for Sandra Day O’Connor was an assistant Solicitor General under Bush, Solicitor General under Obama. He was confirmed 97-0 and is usually very legally sound with all of his decisions.
