Who gives these people permission to plop the cameras down in the first place. I can't recall any agenda items for my local counsel meetings where these are addressed.

I'm all for it, but a constable is basically a process server.
Not in Texas. Constables in Texas are classified as a peace officer the same as other LEO and have full arrest and law-enforcement authority
In LA a constable is an officer of the court
Huge difference

Constables in Texas have some of the powers of a sheriff and are elected like them, but overall, in terms of patrol powers and investigatory powers as well as running the jail, the Constable ain't the sheriff. Most of the time he's delivering eviction notices on behalf of the JOP. I mean, I wouldn't be a civilian and challenge them, because they can and will shoot you, but as to anything involving " investigatory" tools and the such, the Sheriff is free to disregard the Constable

I do believe people can run on that one premise of
"Getting rid of surveillance cameras of American citizens and turning the surveillance cameras on government personnel"
and win in landslides!!

Flock helped catch these 4 criminals

Four former employees of the Savannah Police Department were arrested for using the Flock system for personal reasons. Investigations found that they conducted searches unrelated to police work, leading to their dismissal and subsequent criminal charges.

I want more of these in public spaces... Why are people so against them? Living with lower crime rates and fewer criminals on the streets is a good thing.
Enjoy your two-minute hate.

This is the best idea I have ever read on TD. I mean, we do pay their “public servant”salaries. Shouldn’t we have every right to know exactly what they’re doing while they’re working for us?

What does the county sheriff think of this?

Exactly what I wondered but I have not heard one comment from the Sheriff.

Yes they are and yes we do.

The plan has always been to bring in enough criminal/terrorist immigrant enemies to make Americans demand to be kept safe, the DS will accommodate, for a price.

Yep, a society willing to give up liberty due to fear deserves no liberty.
