I remember once thinking of Kasich as a pretty sharp, dependable voice of conservatism and the GOP once upon a time.
Looking back, I’ve felt pretty silly and duped quite a few times in the past 10 years or so since DJT’s emergence ripped the curtain open on Oz.

That's how we do things in "OH-HI-O".
2016 POTUS Candidate, Kasich. I'm gonna win.

Yes, there's a bit of progress, but have you had a look at R Congress?

I, for one, want to thank the boomer in the other thread for doing all he could and “voting for the right people”.

He was once one of the leading Republicans in Congress.
Along with Boehner, Ryan, etc.

DisplacedBuckeye loved him some Kasich.

My ultra liberal father in law used to say how he’d consider voting for Kasich. I’d laugh and say I bet you would. Kasich and other worthless pu$$ies like him think they are conservative for voting to lower taxes once, 25 years ago.

I seem to remember Kasich patting himself on the back for attending a homo-marriage ceremony. Might have even been during one of the debates. One of the lowest ebbs in that whole era of loathsome GOP-ers who constantly undercut conservatism and constantly groveled before the media.
That whole 1995-2015 period of Republicans makes me want to vomit. McCain, Boehner, Romney, Bush, Lott, Hastert. They handed the keys to the Dems on every issue, other than corporate tax-cuts, which they fought for like rabid wolves. Bush only cared about Iraq, and happily let Ted Kennedy and his minions run the domestic agenda.

What was y’all’s opinions on Bob Dole? I was old enough to pay attention but admittedly didn’t back then. I just remember him seeming funny.
