You're wrong here, like you are with pretty much everything else.

First, the truth that Jesus taught was in alignment with the word of God revealed in the Scriptures. It's why Jesus challenged their traditions, because by those traditions, they made void (they contradicted) the word of God. It also speaks to the authority of the scriptures. Jesus believed and taught they were the very words of God written down, with His authority. You are denying that.

Second the reason Jesus performed the miracles that He did was to prove the authority He had to say what He said. He forgave sins and healed a lame man at the same time. He proved His ability to forgive sins by the miracle. He showed that He was God with His words and actions, but the Pharisees were greedy for power and didn't want the people following after Jesus, so they plotted His death. I am not a Pharisee. I look to the Bible above all traditions and I embrace Jesus as the Messiah and God-man, whereas the Pharisees rejected Him.

Lastly, by me asking for your miracles, it isn't what the Pharisees were doing. Jesus performed miracles in their sight and confirmed the Scriptures, but they still rejected Him. I'm asking to see a sign confirming that this new revelation you have is actually from God. God gave tests for the prophets and I'm wanting to test you by that standard. If you think it's wrong for me to test you, then you won't have much luck sharing this message that has only been given to you, especially when you tell us not to listen to you anyway.

You need to stop trying to use the Bible to support your heretical gnostic beliefs, because you refuse to use all of it. If you want to talk about John 14, we can do that, but only if you concede that all of the Bible is fair game. You can't pick a verse from Matthew and a verse from John and say that is the truth while rejecting everything else the books say.

That said, I have a personal relationship with God, not the Bible. The Bible is authoritative just as the laws written down in this country are authoritative, but my relationship is with the God who provided those authoritative words. You can't separate them as if you can have a personal relationship with God while ignoring everything He said.

If God's word is God's word, then it is the highest and only infallible authority, and all else must be judged in light of it. That includes all other experiences, because we know that our experiences are not always trustworthy. Our entire being has been afflicted and tainted by sin from the fall of man, and our memories are not perfect and our brains and how they experience things are not always perfect. We can be both self-deceived and deceived by others, including spiritual entities (demons).

God has given us His revelation in the Bible. Either accept or reject it, but if you reject it, you need to stop referring to the Bible as some sort of standard when you don't accept it all. You can't even do it for my sake, because if you did, you would need to understand the entire Bible for my sake, and use it within its own context. You can't pull out a verse here or there and then make the excuse that it's because it's the language I use. You can stick to explaining your beliefs according to how they have been "revealed" to you, and letting me refute them by the whole counsel of God in the entire Bible. To do anything else would be to show your own inconsistency.

God already has given me ears and eyes to hear and see the truth, and a new heart to understand it and love it. I don't need what you have. You offer nothing but a burden that Jesus doesn't put on me.

God's standards are His standards. They are also mine, because I love what He loves, so I adhere to His standards. When I fall short and sin, I repent and seek after new obedience according to His standard. God's standard has been to provide His revelation through chosen men (prophets/apostles), accompanied by miracles to demonstrate that they carry God's authority as His messengers.

You are claiming to have a different revelation from God, so you need to prove it. Otherwise you give no reason why I or anyone else should believe you over the other crazies that say God spoke to them and told them to murder their families. Not all claims about God are true, so you need to provide evidence if you want me to believe you. If you can't, then don't be surprised when I continue to call you a heretic and that you are going against God's accepted revelation that was accompanied by miracles and confirmed the truth God revealed beforehand.

Uh, yeah, because God has revealed who He is in the Bible, not from within. He's not "in" every person, but only His people, by His Spirit. You won't find God without that Spirit, which God sends through the preaching of the word.

You, on the other hand, are saying that I have to be absolutely perfect in obeying the law, even though I know I can't obey it perfectly and I don't. That's the burden Jesus came to save us from. That's a high price tag.
