The Contract with America was a remarkably successful electoral strategy in 1994. I think the next R candidate for POTUS should revive the concept and run on a set of clear, actionable policy positions that will positively impact the lives of Americans. What should those policy positions be?

1. Energy independence: resume domestic exploration of oil and gas, build the Keystone pipeline. Begin construction of nuclear power plants.

2. Secure the Border: enforce the laws on the books, codify the remain in Mexico policy via legislation. Remove the incentives in place for people to come here illegally.

3. Trade with China: treat China like the adversary it is.

4. Address the systemic risks of offshoring commercial capabilities to China, et al: Return manufacturing and production capability to the United States.

What else?

Republican promises aren't worth the toilet paper they are written on. Unless they are willing to go on record opposing BLM, funding the Ukraine war, CRT, trannies in kindergarten, and the Jan. 6th committee, what do they have to promise? They've sold us down the river.

Ideally it will be DeSantis. I think Trump did this to a small degree when he provided transparency on his judicial nominations. The concept is effective. If he runs again, he should do this. He has a relatively strong record of doing what he says he's going to do.

But this should be a state issue. Maybe reinforcing that would be a good policy.

No. It means more criminals just disappear. "He was here on Tuesday, then on Wednesday he was just gone!"

I wouldn’t wipe my arse with a contract that Mitch, Lindsey and Liz Cheney sign.

Crime is a local problem with a local solution, as has been demonstrated by the referendums on commie DAs in California. But sure. Your cop union needs federal tax dollars to subsidize violating my rights with military tactics and no knock raids. I love the police state.

Give the environmentalists a bone and promise to replace all coal power plants with natural gas ones.

Nutless modern Republicans are not going to put together any sort of national strategy to win the mid-terms.

This isn't your father's Republican Party (or Reagan's, Newt's, etc.) Trump broke them and they only want to run out the clock for 2022 and start controlling the flow of pork more to their liking.

A strong commitment to anti-communism and anti-Marxism. This bullshite has gone on for far too long and it is time to eradicate that failed ideology from this country.

5- Statutory Ban on Federal Lobbying for 6 yrs after leaving employment with admin Agencies or Congress. That would work better than term limits, which provide a term limited congress member nothing to lose on way out door.

6- China pays reparations for Covid

5. Bring manufacturing jobs back to the United States. We need to produce more of our own goods so that we are not as dependent on the international supply chain.
