Other than being a salacious story there is nothing that Matt Gaetz did that was illegal. Some people can make this about morality but I am not sure how many people can stand up to the test of their own morality should there deeds be made public.

When you break this down, Matt Gaetz was 34 or 35 years old and by all accounts he lived a pretty wild privileged life. The bill for that wild lifestyle has come due and he is rightfully paying the price. I agree with MTG, lets make public ALL of the immorality of Congress and Washington DC politics and not cherry pick who is in and who is out.

After reading multiple accounts of the accusations, I really have issue with the congressional ethics committee. This now appears to be a very corrupt committee because we all know there have been hush money payments for many many politicians that have been swept under the rug. How often does the public see an ethics report for all the other "investigations" they have completed? Why was this particular one so important to this committee?

By all accounts from people with first hand information and those directly involved, the girl had a state issued fake ID showing she was 18. She was 17, so how many people can tell the difference of a 17 vs 18 year old, and on top of that the girl was living in an adult social environment - not a high school teeny bop society.
