Its amazing to me the NFL has not used a EDM artist. It's made for something like the Superbowl and would definitely get a more global audience watching it

Lil Wayne isn’t as big as Kendrick? Okay…

I love Eudora Welty, but I don't think she was right for the Super Bowl halftime.

I am astonished... a pulitzer for something titled "Damn".
Meanwhile, Vivek Ramaswamy criticizes America’s worship of entertainers over scholars, and he gets skewered for it.

I'm all aboard the "this halftime show sucked" train, but
Daft Punk fricks, and their name shall not be besmirched.

I like some of Daft Punk’s stuff.
But album of the year for Random Access Memories? Cmon man.

That's as relevant and justified as Obama's Nobel.

They always are quick to say "Black people built western civilization," and "America was built on the backs of black people".
That's great that they have an opinion on the matter, but we're still waiting on black people to build Africa.

So, it was a DEI Pulitzer. What a fricking joke that award is.
You knew it was a lefty participation trophy when they have one to the NYT for their #MuhRussia rEpOrTiNg.

Most here are obviously not his target audience. Dude does win awards and sell albums. He is also somehow popular with young white kids. I have a 12 year old cousin and he is her favorite “musician”. I don’t get it and think it was terrible but there is an appeal somewhere

Any halftime show that isn't Prince in 2007 is going to be hot garbage. It's not even debatable.
The bar was raised, bolted and arc welded into place forever.

this performance was satan worship ... no doubt about it

DEI will probably get us Jelly donut next year. Have to look out for the fatties.
I bet necks will support this after crying about K Dot being out of breath and spitting in the mic.
Jelly donut will be on a mobility scooter and still be out of breath.

Right wingers make everything about race.
The ideology to which you subscribe is completely race-centric. Every political issue within the social justice lens is framed as oppressed vs. oppressor. It's why leftists now refer to someone as a hyphenated-American based on their race or ethnicity. You are too far gone in your delusion to even engage at this point. You are proof that Yuri Bezmenov was right.

It's like a lefty reunion of stupid takes in this thread, which sort of proves my theory that the NFL is shite.

Lamar, Usher, Rhianna, Dre/Snoop/Mary J, The Weekend, J-Lo/Shakira, were the last 6.
For rap, I was fine with Dre/Snoop, it was iconic hits and several generations could enjoy it.
Lamer was just terrible. Couldnt hear or understand the lyrics, no music to aid in the hook. Just monotone mumbling.
To be honest my favorite halftime show was Bruno Mars back in 2014 or so. A real showman, entertaining, he did a drum solo, dances incredible, and great singer. Very entertaining.
