As an orthodox Roman Catholic I say this:
I am beginning to have a much better understanding of why the reformation happened.
I don’t agree with it but I understand it.

Agreed. No need to split off but reforms and excommunications need to occur.

Replying to some of y'all is exhausting. Do you really think that priest represents the teaching of the Catholic Church, Christ, or even basic human decency? He needs to be removed, but Ireland has fallen, so don't expect his Bishop to do anything.

Ive known since i was a teenager even before social media the catholic church was not good people. It gets reinforced 100 times a year through media now and people still donate 2 trillion a year to them.

Stop acting surprised.

Well the current Pope and most cardinals and bishops openly reject much of scripture.
They remind me of a lot of people on this board. They select the parts of the bible they agree with and ignore the parts the don’t agree with… all while claiming to speak for God.

And yet when it comes to politics they find 1 thing they disagree with and say the whole thing is bad.

Such consistency

It's not something to laugh about, and not all cardinals, bishops, and priest align with the pope.
You should perform ur own due diligence.

Oh really.. refute this…
Council of Trent : “Homosexuality is intrinsically disordered and they should under no circumstances be admitted to the priesthood.”
This proclamation is based on scripture and it has been soundly rejected by most Cardinals and bishops by their actions and lack of action.

Papa Bergoglio had a term for this disgusting attitude - he called it "seamless garment" Synodality.

Signaling the rise of the pro-choice ant-life Catholic clergy.

Yep, my fellow orthodox Catholic brethren we're in for
a rough ride.

Prophecy is being played out right before our very eyes.

Let's start from a position of factual church history.

The council of Trent did not directly address homosexuality. Check your sources.

As for what the church actually teaches, the catechism states that "homosexual acts are acts of great depravity", but also that those suffering from same sex attraction must be treated with "respect, compassion, and sensitivity".

Post Vatican 2, until the 90s, this was an issue. There was a time when SOME homosexual priests were "welcomed", and allowed to "act out" if you will. This was gravely wrong, and clearly against church teaching. It's not hard to tie the homosexual clergy abuses directly back to this. Thankfully, these abusers and those who allowed it are dead or driven out by changes that have been made.

If you can't see that the correction is happening, it's because you aren't in church. Falliable men have led the church, but "the gates of hades" will not prevail.

I'm not a practicing Catholic but I'll say this -

I wanted to see the whole clip before chiming in. I scanned through the X thread and didn't see anybody providing any more than the clip the originator wanted everyone to see. How many times are we fooled on social media by carefully truncated videos?

If this priest legit says/intended to say, as in his whole sentence, what we're supposed to believe here, he's an idiot and warrants some sort of discipline.

But what are the chances that a Catholic priest + the folks in the pews are demonic enough to wish death upon Trump? Not saying it's impossible, TDS is a real thing - but I put it at no better than 50/50.
