How does this work if the virus has weakened so much?

I have a regular meeting with a vendor in Shanghai.

They reported production delays 2 weeks ago with roughly half their shop staff out with Covid.

This week, back to normal and getting ready for Chinese New Year.

Don’t believe everything you read.

China fricked up with their zero Covid policy and finally realized you have to let Covid run its course. You can’t hide from an airborne virus unless you live on an island by yourself.

Herd immunity is a real thing.

And if the Chinese are reporting 9000 deaths per day, it's probably more like 9 million in reality.

If this isn't hyperbole you have no concept of numbers

China never gained any kind of Herd immunity or antibodies to naturally fight off new variants, etc.

^This.

The rest of the world built up herd immunity during the first two variants of the virus. China though tried to lockdown to stamp it out which was stupid on their part. So now we’re several variants down the road and China has a population with next to no immunity to even the initial variant of COVID, much less the variants that followed.

They’ve made their bed so now they get to lay in it.
