I was early 21. Never seen anything even close to that then.. the 90s seem pretty chill to us.. we didn’t have social media to remind of us all the worlds ills… The people jumping out of the buildings have always stuck with me….
We knew of anything like that in the moment… I mean we had desert storm and columbine and some of those small war like things(Grenada, Panama etc…we didn’t witness Vietnam… but this was a scary time,, we couldn’t compute it at the time…
Then soon after was the anthrax getting mailed out( remember that) that beltway sniper.. seems like the world has only gotten worse since then, or maybe we just didn’t know about it. It was always abstract. In the distance…
