Is it really so hard to think a young black kid would be consciously killed by a white man? I'm not say this it what happened with this case however, my forefathers may would argue differently.

Need to know more about the man. Does he have any criminal record? Was he a violent offender in his younger years? Is he a former Klan member? It is extremely rare for a man with no history of these things to suddenly begin at age 85. It's just not how human psychology works. (Crime is a young man's game).
We also need to know if he has any dementia or other health factors that might have contributed to it. I've seen really nice people turn into real assholes once they get dementia.

I mean statistically that’s just an undeniable fact. Even when corrected for every other factor (wealth, location, education level, etc) black people and especially black men are much more likely to commit violent crimes than any other ethnic/racial demographic. And it’s not close.
But that’s completely irrelevant in this case. You can’t shoot a kid on your porch through the door because he knocked after dark. That’s murder.
