Honestly, I'd say it's pretty contained to NYC. And it's a perfect place for this. It's a sociological experiment and I'm extremely excited to see how it all pans out for them.

It's "nationwide" but limited to only far left cities

This is true for now but the number of far left cities continues to increase, and cities previously conservative or moderate continue to shift left. Socialists now control NYC, Chicago, Seattle, SF, DC (soon to elect a socialist), and others I'm sure. Denver, Nashville, Dallas, Houston becoming more liberal. The young progressive left is flourising and multiplying in their echo chambers.

I met a nice young couple from SWLA at a music fest that I've become friends with over the years. She's an engineer (LSU grad) and he's in a band. They moved to Denver and her social media feed is nonstop free palestine, genocide, Israel bashing, and pushing local socialist causes and candidates.

Lack of religion is a common theme with most young dems, so socialism becomes a worship experience for many of them.

Today far left cities, tomorrow the nation. The divide between the haves and have nots is feeding this and as the nation's demographics continue to change, so will its politics.

Importing millions of have nots right after taking over education and MSM was a well played move by the commies.

It was and I cannot believe Conservatives fell for it. Perhaps if they had spent more time on their own country and much less on foreign issues. Someone like say Ike.

Yes, go harder left. That’ll fix it.

False

You don't understand the socialist mindset. They will always find an ideologically appropriate scapegoat. It won't be the socialists fault

Let's say crime ramps up

Step 1-- it isn't lack of police causing crime to spike, it is lack of spending on social programs

Step 2--it isn't the excessive spending causing the budget to tank, it's the billionaires fault for not paying enough

Now just replace the first half of Step 1 with whatever the other complaint is

When they run out of billionaires to blame, it just turns to capitalism

I think you and Upperaltiger06 are missing the forest because of all the trees.

Socialism requires a high level of cultural homogeneity for it to set deep roots because a vast majority of the populace must agree with how its structured. This is because it seeks to replace a lot of aspects of culture with a more generalized societal view. This means that the more diverse your population, the harder the process is going to be. It's not going to be due to a lack of wanting some generalized version of socialism, but rather the specifics of what that structure is supposed to accomplish and how it attempts to do so.

ANTIFA and AWFLs are full of special interest groups, all defined by their personal view of victimhood (whether its for their own group, other groups, other groups in relation to one another, etc). They are bound together right now because they see the lack of socialism as the barrier to their special eutopia. What they don't realize is that their version of eutopia isn't universal, it's going to end up pitting those groups against each other and as that happens, it tears down their socialist framework. As that fails, they will trend back more toward conservatism.

We know this better as a meme:

Majority of our spending is on these programs.

This actually makes people more poor. Give a man a fish.

You are a deeply evil person.

imagine calling someone who wants to fund programs to help people evil.

i know the rest of the saying so should we fund programs to teach a man to fish or is that evil as well?

How about we fund neither?

How about the rest of the world, and our poor here, go frick themselves, and I keep my money?

That sounds perfect.

And if you want to help them so bad, you spend all YOUR money helping them, and keep your damn hands off mine.

Crazy concept.

Let them take these shite hole cities. They will become poorer and crime ridden. Guess what we (us deplorables) in the hinterland will know where they are and have them surrounded. No mercy
