Libtard math
65% = 100%
35%= 0 %
65% = 100%
35%= 0 %

The difference being that those who arrive by air have a streamlined process through customs and have to actually check in and be accounted for.
Those just running across fenceless borders? No accounting, no way to track and I'd wager, is way more than 35% of the total.

Just like 90% of drugs come through ports of entry huh?

This percentage must have come to America legally but then overstayed their visa.

It seems like you could get an accurate count on how many travelers overstayed their visas, but how do you know what percentage they make up of total illegap immigration? Do we have an actual headcount of who ISN'T getting caught at the border? How many illegals are in the country? I've heard as few as 8 million and as many as over 20 million.

1/3 migrant women are sexually assaulted crossing to and through the Southern border. Take illegal immigrants out of it for a second, God forbid we make sex trafficking and fentanyl distubtion harder.
Also if circumstances are that dire for people and they are hellbent on getting here and staying here, I’d rather they obtain an actual passport and use their savings on a airline ticket as opposed to having a random coyote rob people of everything they have ever saved on their way here. At least there they pass through customs and we are able to document and verify each person coming into our country. There’s not one practical reason not to have a wall

Pitting one group that comes through immigration legally but abusing it to a group that does nothing legal do get in is the logic you are using to support no further border protections?

Let's assume your fact is not fake. Assume there are 20 million illegals. This means that 13 million have come by air and over stay their VISA.
This means that 7 million have entered through the southern border.
Let's assume that those who fly are able to "pay their own way" or "pay their fair share", and they are not smuggling drugs. This means that we MUST deal with the ones entering from the south. The ones who are unable to afford airfare. This means that proportionately there are far more criminals entering the south than entering through air.
FINISH THE WALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most illegals are here because they overstayed their visas.

But at least we have the names of these people and know who they are.

Link? Not Factcheck, not Poltifacts.... I want the raw statistical data.
Because I call BS. No way they can actually know that data when a large percentage go unreported.

Then add accountability for those as well in the protection plan but do not continue to allow the abuse of the border and definitely not use the first as a logical reason to not do the second.

Immigration needs a complete overhaul to begin with.
National ID cards are paramount

I just looked DHS's website. In 2017, there were ~52,656,000 non-immigrant entries into the US. Approximately 701,600 overstayed their visas (1.33%). This includes travel and student visas and all air and sea entries.
The overstay rate for the 38 countries in the Visa Waiver Program is much lower, about 0.51 %.
If the ~701,600 and 65% figures are correct, that would mean ~1,080,000 illegal immigrants came into the US in 2017. That would mean around 378,400 are coming across the border annually, which is ~1,036 per day.
What's cutting back on 850 or 900 illegal immmigrants a day worth per year?

Where do these numbers come from? If the government has the tracking power to provide accurate percentages then we should be able to track these individuals down and deport. What say you?
