Abiding the Rule of Law is not partisan.
Meeting with elected executive officials is. These are not the same branches of Gov't.

Hmmmm, that must be hard to explain to the next person they are likely to kill or maim after being let loose early. It strikes me that the only person being thought of here is the perp not the victims, past, present or future. But, of course, it's not 'my line of work.'![]()
I try to give you an educated, reasoned response, and you respond with histrionic hyperbole and an eye roll. Typical.
If you'd like to have a conversation, let me know. Otherwise, enjoy your echo chamber.

What is the source of your education on the subject that you based your reasoned response on?

So are you objecting to dialogue? That IS what is being asked for here. Note that the mayor of Baltimore is adamantly anti-Republican, but she is also asking for a discussion.

Good thing they got rid of these statues, or this would be a real problem.

A career as a criminal defense attorney?

No kidding! If we really want to do something about this problem we should isolate any books, authors and speakers who elude to such ideas. Some of them are probably not even aware of their racist thoughts, and should be reeducated.

I think we should start a go fund me campaign to beautify Louisiana!
Something like: Gun criminals-consider wonderful Baltimore where you have a 60% chance of walking after pulling your 9! Just steal a car and geaux!
Massive billboard campaign in all major metropolitan markets.

So you have a learned bias. Have you ever defended anyone you believed to be guilty based on actual evidence?

As long as you have to label things 'hystrionic' there can be No conversation. Do answer my comment about the victims. What is the consideration given? How do you deal with the very real possibility that they may kill or maim again?!?! There ARE other sides, views and possibilities besides the ones you think you know all about.

Every gun related offense can also be Federally prosecuted. He needs to ask the DOJ to step in and take these cases.
New Orleans needs to do the same thing.

That in itself makes you able to see only one side of the equation. I would love to be there to see you explain your professional logic to the family of the next person they traumatize.

No, pretty please, no!

So judges not wanting to be partisan is a bad thing? one question I did not see asked in the article was why these sentences were reduced. Is it written in the law? Was there any shady dealings in the prosecution? Were searches unconstitutional? Im not saying these are the reasons just incomplete journalism, one of the 5 "W" not asked.
Good questions. Maybe the judges should have met with the governor and maybe some of the questions would have been answered.

Im not objecting to anything. Just pointing out what is in the article.

It's way simpler than that. Black judges don't want to send black men to jail. Even if their crime is violent or there is a long rap sheet. Baltimore is a banana republic.
any facts to back this up? or is that just your inner racist yearning to break free?
