We won't. But that's normal. Politics is cyclical

The usual people who dislike him still dislike him.

Those who held their nose and voted for him because they dislike democrats are staying home in November.

Trumps base is fractured and at least half have abandoned their support for him. Trump simply hasn’t held up his campaign promises. It’s been an abject failure of a 2nd term.

Most people I’ve talked to that I know vote R are either staying home because they no longer have faith anyone will represent us, or they’re voting D out of spite to send a message to republicans.

Midterms will be ugly. I mean really ugly. It’s going to shock some people the seats that flip blue

That being said, there’s time to reverse this trend. We just need wins. Prices need to go down, end the war in Iran, start having mass arrests of fraudsters and ramp up deportations.

The economy is a complex issue. It pretty much sucks in general due mostly to inflation.

Nothing will change until politicians stop spending more money than we have. The population at large seems to not grasp this concept.

Amen brother.

The check book has checks but we had to borrow money to pay for said checks.

It’s time to stop. So few in Congress will even say that out loud and we may lose one of the few tomorrow.

No one in DC gives a shite about spending. Not Congress or the White House. No one cares.

It’s a good thing your prognosticators will be incorrect, half of Trump’s base hasn’t left him lol that is comically stupid. IF Massie is defeated tomorrow, that will tell you all you need to know about Trump’s base. In fact Massie represents the anti Trump conservatives, does he not? So, it should be an easy win for him tomorrow IF half of Trump’s base has left him. “Most people you’ve talked to” lol sure thing

Me either. It seems there are a subset of young maga voters that are very anti Israel and follow idiots like Fuentes. That’s pretty much the ones saying vote D out of spite

They don’t understand. Rush said this constantly. Trump’s base only grows the more they try to fracture it.

quote:

“I want people to know right now, the polling that you’re seeing come in on Trump is incorrect. The reason it’s off is most of these polls do not correlate. They don’t wait for his last election. Donald Trump has a floor basically of about 41, 42 if he has an absolutely worst day,” he said. “He was a ceiling of about 56 or 57, because the rest of the country is so polarized, you can only go that far. But he has a loyal 43 to 44 percent on any day of the month. And when he is doing well, he has got 50 plus. And the pollsters are wrong. And I’m right. I guarantee I’m right about that.”

There is definitely a strong backlash against republicans in Congress who oppose Trump and it’s showing in the primaries. Congress is largely to blame on lack of progress instead of Trump, they refuse to pass his agenda in legislation.

But the question bodes: is that going to be good or bad for midterms? The angry Trump base can oust RINO in a primary but will the new MAGA candidate win the general election where he needs independents to win? If Trump is bad underwater on favorability then the answer is likely “no”

Trump is good at destroying his perceived enemies. I don't think anyone disputes that.

The problem is that's about the only thing he is good at

Yeah...Trump and his allies will raise as much money as possible to remove conservative republicans that aren't in lock step with the Trump idiocy

It's a sight to behold
