"I'll be honest with you, I'm as concerned as I've ever been, because we have three or four guys out with COVID and we have a couple staff members that have been out with COVID here recently," Smart said. "For us, we're at our highest spike. And people are talking about vaccinations, well these are people that are vaccinated. We're talking about breakthroughs, and so that concerns you not only for the players on your team that are unvaccinated, that are playing and not playing, because we want everybody to be safe. But it concerns me for the players that are vaccinated that we could lose them."

Tired of hearing “breakthrough” like it’s some kind of rarity. It’s obvious the vaccine does nothing to stop people from spreading or catching COVID.

I believe the vaccine kills any antibodies off to fight the infection naturally.

vaccinated or not does not stop the transmission of the China flu... Also I'd bet that 99% of college football players that catch the wu flu even get "sick"

LOL. Those are the players who have the least to worry about.

This.

I am no virologist or infectious disease expert, but I remember basic biology from my high school/college days. There's a reason why we've never been able to eradicate viruses like the cold or flu. Respiratory illnesses typically mutate faster and more often and so it becomes almost impossible to nail down a vaccine with 100% efficacy. Anything less than 100% allows the virus to live within a host and mutate so it has a better chance to combat the protections provided by the vaccine.

Seems like the vaccine has done more harm than good. Tons of people still getting hospitalized, tons of breakthrough infections

The vaccines DO NOT STOP the transmission of COVID. PERIOD.

I’m not sure that’s accurate for the J&J shot.

Got any info on that?

If you would research reputable sources you would find that the man benefit of the vaccine is that it decreases the likelihood that if you catch the virus you will need hospitalization or die. You are correct in saying that there is no guarantee that a vaccinated person will catch the virus and spread it.

Actually, can you get an updated graphic? The one you are posting is not accurate any longer.

A UW linebacker, Leo Chenal, tested positive for Kung Flu and apparently isn't vaxxed.

Some "fans" think he should be kicked off the team for putting his teammates at risk.

Yes, these "fans" are hardcore Madison leftists.

Go and try to donate convalescent plasma if you've taken their gene editor.

We'll wait.

Vox, if you take the vaccine, you can't be a blood donor? Honest question. Thanks.
