What if I told you, that this increase was mandated by law? Lord Thomas Massie himself couldn't have prevented nearly any penny from being spent.

We are a deadbeat country.

We have to disband the miltary, shut down all government agencies and shut down all entitlements and spending. I think everyone would support that. Install the King, right?

And how much of that is accrued interest on the debt that existed before he took office?

I don't think they'll get it, but you're nailing it as usual.

Do y’all not understand how a fiscal year and.budget process works? It’s Mr Autopen’s budget for FYE 2025 that Trump inherited, therefore, the funds are appropriated for spending and why there is such a fight from uniparty if Trump wants to cut.

We have added 1T in debt in the last two months alone. This is scary and unsustainable. I wish DC would take this seriously! We need tariff revenue, massive economic growth, significant cuts, and lower interest rates to even get a handle on this. This is going to spiral out of control quicker than we realize. I'm not sure what the end of this will look like.

Now do Biden and Obama, or any Dem. Takes money to cleanup the mess left behind by Barely There Joe. Think how much more debt would be added if we were still funding operations for trans monkeys in Africa!

OP concern for today:
“2T in debt added since DJT took office!”

OP concern for rest of time:
“Negotiate with democrats to spend trillions more in perpetuity to reopen the government!!1!1!”

I wonder if that's because the accounting of spending is more accurate?
quote:

Elon Musk claimed 14 computers at the Department of Treasury and other government agencies just “send money out of nothing” during a podcast appearance with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Monday. He appeared to be criticizing the government’s bookkeeping, though it’s worth noting the government can, in fact, print money at little to no cost.

When you account for what you actually spend, the debt can rise much, much faster.
