I remember my 6th grade math teacher and I’m not keen on the idea of her having a gun in the classroom. What’s your plan for stopping the individual from obtaining the gun and/or bringing it to campus? Or do you want to wait until it’s in the classroom to deal with it.

We can not blame an entire population of gun owners for the actions of 1 mentally ill gunman

In 1789, for something to be “well-regulated” it meant operating swiftly and without delay. For example, the power to “regulate interstate commerce” was meant by the founders to prevent the flow of commerce from ceasing at state borders.
The militia was every able-bodied man of fighting age. The purpose of the second amendment was so that every person who wanted a gun would have one and know how to use it in case of war, when the states would call up their militia, and the federal government would dispatch them. There was no standing army in times of peace, so the militia was designed to be the cheap, quick way to muster armies to fight a defensive war while a professional army was organized.

Blanket statements usually come from morons. You definitely fit the bill. Amazingly, not a one of my guns got loose and shot up a school today. I guess I should feel lucky.

No one cares what you're "keen on" or your "feels". Sorry you don't understand the concept of deterrent.

When was the last time said militia was called up?

What does this have to do with anything?

Why do you think that's relevant?

Doesn't matter when the last time the militia was called up. Your opinion will not override the BILL OF RIGHTS.

As an air Marshall, did you wait until the passengers where on the plane to do screenings? Did the FAA/TSA perform any background checks prior to passing security? But yeah, I’m the one that doesn’t understand deterrents.

All of these types of posts are a waste of time. Noone is ever going to take our guns away. It will never happen. It's popular for Dems to talk that way, but that's all it will ever be. Just talk.

Hell let the teachers conceal carry if the want. You hear about teachers protecting students in cases like this. Why not give them the proper tools to protect the students?

shite man you're right. We should be performing background checks on people wanting to purchase a gun. What a brilliant idea!
Idiot.

Relevance? If having a standing militia is the reason for not changing, when was the last time it was utilized?

Explain. It’s written into our declaration that our rights are granted by God. It is not the governments decision as to whether we keep those rights or not.
