What do you mean they couldn’t tie it together? The geotracing was used to catch the J6 perpetrators but not good enough to catch the mules that voted illegally? I’m sure the Denver post was pushing insurrection for the Dems, but this is different?

Exactly correct, cell phone geolocation data is usually considered only accurate to within 4.5 meters, that was more than adequate to indicate a person was within a 50 foot circle inside the Capital, but would not provide the resolution needed to accurately locate a person within a 10 foot circle around a ballot drop box.

bullshite!! It’s kind of funny that those same people were around 5-10 drop boxes. Don’t give me that excuse that it isn’t good enough for at least investigating. They have the info, call them in for questioning.

Call who in, the cell data they purchased was purposely devoid of identity information, they had no way of identifying who the cell phone pings belonged to. By people visiting 5-10 drop boxes you must mean the “one” that was shown in the movie.

The data is only pings on a map, not their actual cell phone data. But theoretically you can probably figure out a home address pretty easily in most cases if it's a single family residence. His broader point about the dropboxes is incredibly stupid though.

You think that would go well publishing some unexpected criminals name in a movie being shown nationwide?
I'm willing to bet that releasing this movie was to motivate certain folks to take action that might be on the fence. If they had the cell phone, they likely have the user. And the data dump date might be the deadline for certain folks to take action or be outed.

Hopefully, the data dump they say is coming has something more substantial, but feels like this is where every big gotcha ends up.
