You have to really like this poll if you’re Beto. I bet he laughed in Biden’s face when he spoke to him about being VP.

Way too early.

At this point, voters aren't paying attention yet to name recognition is what matters.

For context here are the results of the 12/2006 @DMRegister poll:

John Edwards 36%
Hillary Clinton 16%
Barack Obama 13%
Tom Vilsack 11%

Normally I’d agree, but look at the water the media has carried for Beto? That’s an unbelievable poll for him considering “nobody is paying attention”.

It's also an unbelievable poll for "Beto" when one considers that he is, politically speaking, lighter than a feather. He ran a good campaign in Texas, but that's a lot different from being in the NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT for a year.

And if you don't think a year or more is a long time to have to hide your record, personal history or simply the fact that you're an incredible lightweight who isn't ready for primetime, just ask President Howard Dean.

Here is the CNN poll... My god Hillary is underwater amongst Iowa Dems?

Favorable ratings in the CNN/DMR Iowa poll of Democrats:
Biden: 82/15
Bernie: 72/22
Warren: 64/20
Beto: 53/11
Harri: 49/10
Booker: 49/12
Hillary: 47/49

Hillary Clinton's favorable rating is underwater among *Democrats.* That is stunning.

This is why Sherrod Brown is going to win the nomination.

Biden won’t run
Sanders can’t grow base. They want younger.
Warren won’t be able to win. Dems scared over Indian thing
Beto stands a chance. He’s a movement candidate
Harris is auditioning for VP
Booker is poor man Obama

Brown can actually threaten Trump in Midwest. He has that economic populism lexicon down and has a good pitch “Dignity in Work”. He’s the one candidate that makes me nervous because he can unite Hillary and Bernie voters. If you look at platform it will be similar to Trumps

Whatever happened to DeVal (sp?) Patrick? I wish I had $20 bucks for every time I read or heard that he was Barack Obama's personal choice, but he is nowhere to be found.

Did he get caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy?

Not running

It’s probably disqualifying working at the same private equity firm as Mitt Romney

What the frick has Beto done to garner such respect among his democratic sheep? He married in to his father-in-law's business. He lost a Senate race to Ted Cruz (whom I very much like, but) who has the charisma of a brick.

Beto is shaping up to be scary. He's literally done nothing but seems to have a huge portion of the liberal base behind him. Complete con artist. Hussein Obama 2.0... Cyclical.

If John Edwards hadn't done himself in, that 2006 poll would have held up pretty well.

He is likeable is why. Although his platform is fantasyland, he is a well spoken new face that hasn’t had the hit squad on him yet. Plus, he can appeal to the Bernie types = turning out the young vote

I don’t most people realize how close the TX Senate race was. Beto was/is a player that we need to blunt bigly and quickly
