Some good news for our Laredo, TX border wall project:
LINK
quote:
After months of holding the line, Laredo City Council has come to an agreement with the federal government and allowed them the right of entry for the 982 acres the city owns along the Rio Grande. This means government officials can now freely access the land and conduct surveys to develop the alignment of a future border wall.
The city is the largest landowner in the Laredo area to have been sued over this right of entry, the first document the federal government needs signed by any property owner with land that could be impacted by a border wall. If a landowner does not agree to sign this form, the Department of Justice will pursue a condemnation case against them in federal court. A landowner has never won a right of entry case against the government.

2 new border wall contracts valued at half a billion dollars issued for Laredo, Texas
McALLEN, Texas (Border Report) — Two construction contracts valued at nearly half a billion dollars have been awarded to build 40 new miles of border wall in the South Texas city of Laredo, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials announced Wednesday.
A $201 million contract for a 13-mile section of border wall to be built in Laredo was awarded to Southwest Valley Constructors Company, CBP and U.S. Army Corps of Engineer officials said.
The other contract, worth $283 million for a 27-mile long stretch of a new border wall and the accompanying infrastructure system, was awarded to Fisher Sand & Gravel Company. Construction is scheduled to begin a year from now, in September 2021, “pending availability of real estate.”

The Laredo, TX wall system is now fully funded and fully under contract.
Our wall system will reach several miles north of Laredo, through downtown Laredo, and miles south of Laredo all the way to Eagle Lake, TX.
The vicious drug cartels easy access to America is being shut-off even more day by day.
Our wall system on the southern border is going up a blistering 10 miles a week.
'Merica baby.

Yep, not used to promises made-promises kept from politicians.
Democrats always promise moderation and deliver far left.
Republicans always promise just right of center and deliver just left of center.
Orange Man Bad on Mount Rushmore!

It's amazing how quiet democrats are on this now.
Any idea of what percentage of the border has a wall now?

Hate to sound like a wishywashy politician, but the percentage is actually variable by your definition of the wall.
If you include deep desert filled with sidewinders and Gila monsters that haven’t seen a human foot print since the Apache, the the percentage is low.
If you consider where the vast majority of illegals cross, then very high.
In between is in between.

It makes perfect sense to improve the barriers in and near major metro areas. Good Trump.

I believe what the Bible says about immigrants and refugees and a wall stands contrary to that.
I think the Bible is a lot like our Founding Documents, 3; visionary re our potential future...but highly problematic given the current Cultural Paradigm. The Ideas in both, are Ideal...and a bar too high to reach, right now.
That said, big changes are coming. High Tech can offer a largesse to ALL peoples and places on this Planet, making it good for them to live in their own places. Check out James Redfield's vision ("The Celestine Prophecy") of a potential future social paradigm; ignore the metaphysical fluff if it bugs you, though who knows what the future of our perceptive bubbles is. Jesus said that we'd "do things greater than he did"; walked on water, healed and ressurected the dead, etc.; so, the sky might be our limit.
Interesting and challenging time.

Its all been gas bloviated by the left to placate their loon constituency .
The hyena's in the lame-stream media is guilty as well.
Their hatred of Trump and mainly America, drummed the lies of the far-left in this country.
Even little Annie has shut her big trap.
Deep down, the politicians know that the wall system on the US/Mexican border has been badly needed for the last 30 years.
They just have to keep quite about it to keep their kook voters happy in their opposition to the Orange Man.

The US/Mexican border is a little under 2000 miles in length.
I have read that about 1100 miles of the southern border needs to be secured.
As of October 5, the US Border patrol shows that 350 miles have been completed.
231 miles are under construction and 157 miles are in pre-construction.
LINK
So we have about 32% of our southern border wall system completed as of October 6.
ONE-THRID has been completed.
Almost the entire California/Mexican border has been secured. The San Diego sector now has a double-wall system with tons of tech in place.
AZ's border is being secured at a blistering pace. The Yuma sector is almost complete.
New Mexico is seeing the same.
Texas has the next big projects on the agenda. El Paso has had tons of work done their.
It appears that the big push will be north of Laredo all the way down to the southern most tip of TX, Brownsville area.
The Rio Grande Valley sector is going to be the most challenging. Construction is already under way down there. The walls are going to be able to withstand hurricane force winds as long as flooding issues.
10 miles a week is being completed.
We should be very close to 400 miles completed by election day in November.
We will be near 500 miles completed by Re-Inauguration day in January.
All I can say is WOW. The Orange Man, aka THE Mad Hatter is getting her done.
