So basically, the media is creating an agenda here (shocker). What happened is a tragedy and we need to find ways to help prevent these events from continuing to happen, but dont pretend like there's a couple "school shootings" like what just happened every week in this country. Almost all other events this year was not a deranged person with the intent to shoot and kill several people at school as the evidence above shows. There's no need to sensationalize other non-related events to this event.

Shame on the media for pulling this nonsense. They are a part of the problem, as are several other contributing factors.

Basically if anyone fired a gun within a mile of a school for any reason it is now considered a "school shooting."

You think the MSM would report anything honestly after the last several years of evidence to the contrary? They really are shameless.

A kid accidentally discharging a holstered firearm of a cop = school shooting

It's just fricking crazy they even relate the 2 things together.

They shouldn’t push fake news. 5 of the 10 deadliest shootings have happened since dec 15 so clearly things are escalating.

It’s pretty disgusting how the media and the left is acting like schools are being shot up every day. Our media is the enemy of this country

These tragic events are occurring more than ever before and things DO need to be figured out on how to prevent (or at least lessen) them, but to relate events like a random bullet hole found outside a school building having no clue how it got there to a deranged kid going into a school and shooting everyone up is just plain wrong. It's fake fricking news (and I'm not a Trump supporter by any means, but the term holds true here) and it's despicable this narrative is pushing by the biggest news agencies out there.

Any shooting that occurs on school property is considered a school shooting, regardless of whether or not it involves students, teachers, school personnel, or is even during school hours.

Gang shootings that happen to occur in the parking lot of a school on a Saturday night are considered school shootings. It's why statistics are meaningless without context.

Only one of those events was an "attempt" as a mass killing...the cafeteria shooting.

They lie, they lie, they lie and then they believe, they believe, they believe...how to train useful fools.

282 killed on that list. Chicago is on pace to more than double that this year alone. No one seems to care about that even though it's typical for teenagers and children to get be the victims.

I think that's mass shootings, which is defined as 4 or more people injured or killed in one shooting event, not location specific. So any drive by in Chicago or Baltimore where one dies and 3 or injured is considered a mass shooting.
