You idiots think the money assigned to the Covid DRG was big money? Hospitals didn't make Bank off this at all. Hospitals struggled severely. Tons of Hospitals went bankrupt or closed.

The issue has never been the number of deaths. As I keep on repeating, it's to stop ICU beds from being clogged up. That's why every European country locked down and did what they did.
600,000 extra deaths isn't really that much. But imagine the number of people who were hospitalised if only an additional 600,000 people died. They would have been clogging up ICU beds, which means no treatment for other groups including groups that you mention.

That’s at least a magnitude greater than the amount of people who died from the flu in 2019 and nearly equal to all drug overdoses since 1999.

ICU beds take a lot to staff, which is also a problem. Elective procedures don't fill up ICU beds.

Can’t speak about pre-Covid, but two weeks ago at the beginning of the surge there were 12 patients in ICU and 3 on vents at the Baton Rouge General . Currently 170 in Covid units and 18 on vents. I’m not sure about how many are in the ICU but I’m sure it has significantly risen as well. I’ll update that number if I hear something later.

Obama birthday party bash just occurred and now videos are popping up on the festivities. And surprise, surprise, we see no one with masks including Obama amongst this mass of democrats and rad left marxists. Over and over, we find democratic leadership not wearing masks when they think no one is watching. These are the same people closing down society, mandating masks and vaccines because Covid is so, so, so dangerous.
Remember that old saying, "Watch what they do, not what they say"? Well if I watch what they do, they clearly have no deep fear of covid regardless of what they say in public. They act in direct contradiction to what they demand of the masses when they think no one is watching. And they wonder why no one trusts a word out of their mouths.
