Yes. Court's don't decide if one report is somehow valid or the report for the trial, etc. Just because a court permits a report or expert report to be noted as much doesn't speak to the credibility or viability of the allegations/opinions contained within the testimony and/or report.

The only way a court would make a determination is if there was a bench trial and the court acted as the finder of fact. Otherwise it's for the jury to do.
