correct. they are being displaced due hezbollah's actions combined with a complete economic collapse of lebanon since 2019. You can't allow terrorism to thrive because they hide behind civilians that will not overthrow them.

Who in Lebanon has been displaced? The Muslim terrorist parts of Lebanon or the Christian parts?

Lebanon isn’t a nation full of hostile Islamic terrorists. They are truly the ones who are getting fricked over in all of this.
That's what I'm getting at
It's collective punishment

Even though about 1/2 are Christian?
Even though tUSA asked Israel not to bomb Christian villages, but Israel did it anyway.
Awesome, way to not give a shite.

Try between 5.5 and 6 million Christians.

Quick explanation - the Shia Muslims are Hezbollah
The Israelis have expanding their attacks to Sunni and Christian neighborhoods
As someone pointed out there might be 35K or that are Hezbollah
So that means at least 1 million innocents have been driven from their homes

Hezbollah combatants are approximately .76% of Lebanon’s total population, some where around 25-35K of them. Lebanon is home to a Christian population of approximately 2 million people. Thank you.
It’s time for us all to look a little deeper into the Middle East beyond the tired tropes left over from the early 2000s war on terrorism.

Do the math:
Hezbollah is less than 1 percent of the population.
1.1 million people is 20% of the population of Lebanon.

hezbollah have infiltrated lebanon's government as well. They are culpable part of the blame that you don't want to hold anyone else accountable for their part of the actions. You are a cuck. Why should israel stop blasting lebanon cause their coward terrorists hide behind civilians of a country that are in cahoots with terrorism? frick you bro.

No it's closer to 2 million. The total population is about 6 million with 2 million being Christians

you conveniently always ignore culpability of all of these places.

Iran wants it both ways. When Israel attacks Hezbollah, they want Israel to be held accountable for breaking the ceasefire. When Hezbollah attacks Israel, Iran will claim that there is no connection between them, so they didn’t break the ceasefire.
Exactly. I can't imagine posting on a political message board and not understanding this.

How does that excuse them bombing Christian churches and leveling residential areas where the vast majority of people are innocent?
Do you normally watch the Levin show from your cuck chair?

Only if Lebanon was part of the deal. If not, my guess is Trump has given them the greenlight to handle Hezbollah

You bomb the terrorists where they are. You don't get to choose where they are.

war is not pretty. get over yourself. its not a purposeful goal.
eta: again, no culpability directed to hezbollah and lebanon for why innocent bystanders are getting impacted from a war agitated by terrorists.

The 69% of the population of Lebanon is Muslim these days and they mostly live in Southern Lebanon. Decades ago when the Christians and Druze were the majority, Lebanon was popular resort for Europeans. After Muslims became the majority, it became a war zone as it is today.

A widely cited 2023 estimate from Statistics Lebanon (referenced in U.S. State Department reports) breaks down the Lebanese citizen population as follows:
Muslims overall: ~69%
Shia Muslims: ~32.2%
Sunni Muslims: ~31.2%
Druze: ~5.5% (often grouped with Muslims in some statistics but recognized as a distinct ethnoreligious community)
Other Muslims (Alawites, Ismailis, etc.): ~0.6%
Christians overall: ~30–31%
Maronite Catholics: ~16% (the largest single Christian group, representing about half of all Christians)
Greek Orthodox: ~7.6%
Other Christians (Greek Catholics/Melkites, Armenian Orthodox, Armenian Catholics, Syriac, Protestant, etc.): ~6–7%

Fun fact: Louisiana, the Acadiana area in particular, has a bunch of people of Lebanese heritage.
Charles Boustany and Mikie Mahtook are a few of the more recognizable names of Lebanese heritage.
Again, just hoping to point out that Lebanon isn’t a nation chock full of RPG wielding, Islamic terrorists. The government is not pro Hezbollah. They are getting caught up in all this shite.
