100k isn't that much money unless the motive is cost saving and not from a lack of qualified workers

It is more investment than hiring domestically. Hell, relo packages are cheaper than that.

Sure the government needs to invest more. Let's not be lazy where we continually sit in the top 5 of investment per student like we have been. Let's get up to #1 and just hope like hell something changes and we rise up from 16th in math and 34th in science.

This a tremendous red herring. The problem with medical staffing has been the lack of residency spots & lack of medical school capacity. Nursing/CNA programs have increased, but there's just not enough capacity currently to churn out the number of mid-levels & physicians required.

Targeted investment could solve that, but we've been hearing about the problem for decades now & it doesn't seem like there's the will to change

Why?

Easy. Every time they can get a doctor over here on visa they control said doctor. That doctor will not bite the hand that feeds them and will do exactly what they are told by their white elite overlords. When they say jump the Asian doctor will ask them how high.

Not hyperbole all facts.

Which was sort of the point of my sarcastic post. Anyone blindly asking government for more investiture surely hasn't been paying attention. Our government has "invested" plenty. Results have not come.

Rural hospitals are affected by this greatly.

I’ve seen small counties with one hospital that have a difficult time staffing doctor and nurse positions because not many American professionals want to live in a town of 1,000 people.

H1B’s are the reason the hospital can operate. If not, they’d most likely shut down.

Trump and Congress, the Visa Government.

If so many Americans are getting laid off, why do we need this shite?

Congress gave you the visas. Trump so far is the only one that has done anything about it.

I'm willing to bet the next president does nothing on Visas, and none of you will bitch about it.

We the People should only allow foreigners to work here if it can be proven that there is not one US citizen capable of and willing to do the job...PERIOD!

demographics=destiny

lower IQ native borns are outreproducing higher IQ native borns by a significant margin, just as many higher IQ native borns are retiring/dying

we had the recipe for sustainable success and we pissed it down our collective leg, and the consequences are really showing now

I agree!

We should start by sending the 700K H1B people home!

Then we must recall the estimated 3million Americans working abroad, home to fill those newly vacated positions!
