When are people free to move about freely without being forced to use hand sanitizer and wear a mask just to buy an apple?

That's store policy to help protect their employees

Cash is not a good vehicle to transport respiratory viruses, however, cards have a little bit more potential," said Dr. Susan Whittier, a clinical microbiologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University Medical Center. "If someone is coughing, and then they hand their credit card to someone across the counter, I wouldn’t rule out the potential of transmission."

What's your problem with TJ's trying to keep the place clean and sanitized? Unwad your panties.

If all the store shelves were stocked, I might find this aninteresting experiment. However, if I'm getting scrubbed down to shop in a store that looks like it is going out of business and the only things I get to see are the canned artichokes and 49 flavors of coffee creamer....well this is stupid.

Don’t know where the limit in store at one time came from but many places are doing that. But the lengths they went to that you described it sounds like the employees there are very considerate. I frickin love Trader Joe’s. the one in Metairie was shut down for a couple days at least because they had employees test positive. Might be why other stores are taking extra precaution

They've been doing that here for weeks. Don't mind it actually, it's certainly more pleasant once you get inside the store and there are not a million people inside. I hope we keep up the social distancing after this is over. Unless I know you there is no reason for you to be within 6 feet of me anyway

So you expect airlines and buses and movie theaters to place seats 6 feet apart? That will help business. Quit being a karen. There are thousands of ways to die and this one is barely on the radar compared to let's say driving on our roads
