Noticed LSU only signed 13 players Coach Miles first year as coach. Can anyone tell me the reason why we only signed 13 that year?
Did LSU lose alot of verbals that year since Saban left or what?

we didn't have the room(saban signed a bunch the year before, greyshirts etc)...I think we signed 17 in Miles first year but maybe a few didn't make it

Scholarship limits... we were bumping up against the 85 player limit.
If you recruit good and don't lose alot of players from previous years to dropouts/injuries/transfers, this will happen every couple years.

I guess RJ Jackson and Antonio Robinson didn't really live up to the stars while Ciron Black certainly exceeded his.

That is a solid class of recruits. The numbers were low, but the quality was there. Almost all of them get regular playing time.
