He deserved it for The Two Towers. He definitely deserves it for Dawn.

Dawn might be my 2nd favorite movie ever. I had high expectations and I was still blown away

With that said, two towers was a better performance

Great movie. I posted this earlier, but I've never emphasized with a CGI character like I emphasized with Caesar and his family. The ape scenes were so well done.

And so much of the emotion was displayed with facial expressions and body language. I am floored at how good it was. The best time I've ever had at the movies. Better than TDK and I love that movie

It's too bad that you couldn't empathize with the apes instead.

I'm going to see it tomorrow, and I really trust your taste in film, so hopefully this blows my face off.

There was good and bad on both sides, just like it is in reality.

Return of the King as well (and Sean Astin should have also been nominated for Supporting that year).

Blew me away.

Could've taken some easy roads at the end and didn't

The empire comparison someone mentioned in a review, I rolled my eyes, is spot the frick on

Whoever have this a bad review deserves to have their credentials immediately revoked

One of the best movies I have ever seen and the best movie experience I have ever been to. What an amazing film from start to finish.

I saw a preview for an oscar bait film with Seymour hoffman where he has this ridiculous German accent

He'll win because he's dead

There was a small push for him to get a supporting actor nomination for the first Planet of the Apes. I don't see him ever getting nominated for lead actor though.

That's dumb because he was the lead actor.

Just like Cristoph Waltz getting the nomination for supporting actor in Inglorious Basterds...he was the lead.

Serkis did more than that for Golem, Caesar, and King Kong.

Okay - animation models and voice actors don't win Oscars, then.

It's acting. He won't win, but he should be nominated.

The Academy voters prefer live action performances over motion capture. I don't even see him getting nominated, much less winning.
