Thoughts on these rims, what tires to put on them?

Going on this:

They have a different offset which helps with a bit bigger tire. Thinking 265/70/17...
I want something with a beefy sidewall since I want them more for backcountry and overland than for mud. I don't really know shite about tires, and even though I'll depressure them for off-road I want something load rated higher like E, right? Think, thoughts?
Here's 255/80/17:

That look a bit big?

Seems like a downgrade but whatever floats your boat.

There's no need to depressive those tires IMO.

And there's no reason to put E load rated tires on a truck that size IMO.

No E rated tires unless you like a shitty ride.

Why would you put 4 spares on your truck?

The spare is a 16" and these have a better offset. I think they look way better than my steelies and I want to have two sets of tires. I'll run my normal ones, but have offroad one for trips and trails.

I think they're classic looking.

Why would it being toy sized stop me from doing what every other truck owner does? At least I don't have a dumb-arse brush guard or bull bar or nerf bars or wind deflectors or tonneau or whatever else people accessorize their truck with.

255/75/17s work well on Tacomas. They are a little taller and a little more narrow than a 265/70/17. The selection is limited in that size though. I know for sure that they are available in BFG ATs, BFG MTs and Nitto Trail Grapplers. I'm running the trail grapplers in a C range, which is all I would go in a mid sized truck. I had Es on my 08 and it rode like crap unless I was towing or hauling a decent amount of weight.

I'm buying spare tires. I want real off-road tires and I'm not planning on using them full time. Truck only gets 15 mpg as is.

Everything should be modified.

Do you think switching between the two sets of tires might throw off your balance?
