What does believing in the theory of evolution mean?? and why is that a political issue?

If we get government out of the school operating business such issues would not be important. People that are deciding on schools based on what they teach about creation should have choices.

I think most Christians believe in certain amount of evolution. I don't see the conflict between divine creation and evolution myself. There is no questions species have changed over time but I see no evidence, only theory, that complex life arose from a pool of genetic material. I don't remember ever learning about Adam and Eve in school. Anyone that claims they know the origins of our being is just an idiot. It is one of the great mysteries of time.

I think far and away most republicans agree with me and the issue is not as cut and dry as democrats would have one to believe. Why this test labels it as a political issue is beyond be.
