First of it was an unbelievable game and the circumstances with the Weather and the fact that we were playing a top 25 Kentucky team made it a classic and a moment people around LSU will be talking about for years...

The team played a almost perfect game everybody played their roles and they all played with energy and together.Johnny O was a complete Beast and He played like he had something to prove,He made quick decisions and when there was a double team he moved the ball quick and when they didnt double he dominated as he should. One thing that I think has not been mentioned enough is How well Anthony Hickey managed that game from the point guard position, he was doing things that dont show up on the stat sheet but it absolutely help us win that game. He pushed the ball in transition when it was their but made great decisions on bringing the ball back out when it wasn't there.

The new lineup has giving the team a boost starting out, Shavon has been lights out in IMO, His ability to get to the basket and either finish or get fouled has added an element that starting both little guards doesnt give us.

Like I stated before its not about who starts its about your IMPACT, Martin has done nothing but improve since coming off the bench and when its winning time he's been in the game, Andre could care less he just wants to win, but still done exactly what he's been doing still the 3rd leading scorer on this team shooting almost 41% from 3 and has probably been more effective since coming off the bench and when its winning time he's on the floor.

After the game I talked to Dre and I've never heard him more happy and excited and all him and Johnny keep saying was how the Crowd was and how the Fans being there and being loud got them going. You guys really have no idea how much the 13th man(fans/crowd/attendance)affects these guys mentally, if you see a packed house and your fans are screaming, it gives you a little extra incentive to have a good showing. Not saying they will win every game but they will feel like whether they win or lose it matters to you guys because you came out to support. I was watching the game on television and could feel the excitement of the Crowd. We are as much a part of this team as the players, so please continue to come out and support.

Got a funny feeling that these guys are about to rip off 5-6 straight.

It all starts with the student section. They need to get their butts in the seats on a consistent basis. They were nothing short of amazing for the UK game.

12 players on the team maybe?

Agree with you Michael. It was incredible and I hope the fans can continue to grow and improve. The atmosphere is something that can make home court truly an advantage.

I think it was more of a comment how LSU has 12 guys on the roster + Bridgewater.

Great post. Shavon starting and making plays off the dribnle is what this team needed. Im hoping hickeys newfound FT stroke gives him the confidence to follow suit because he has the ability to get to the goal relentlessly, just been shy of contact in the past due to his struggles at the line.

The players said similar things about the crowd after the xavier game in 09. Hopefully we have a good crowd sat afternoon. Should be a good local turnout but you can never tell with our fickle basketball fan base.

We have to build on this. Win at least 4 of the next 5 and we may have something here.

One of my favorite plays tuesday night was andre driving and setting up johnny with that dunk.

Facepalm and derision at OP's use of "13th man" not required. If I'm not mistaken, MichaelStringerLSU10 is related to Andre or is a very close friend... I'm confident he's aware that only five players are on the floor at a time. I don't know, without looking, if there are 12 players on the roster, or if there are 9-10 and he included the coaches in counting up to the fans @ #13.

Moving along...

I've been out of the loop with basketball, but have enjoyed reading your posts recently... I like your insight.

He is Andre's brother and he always comes on here and gives the fans a heads up on the atitude of the players and how the fans can help.

In this case it is saying that with an atmosphere like the 6k brought on Tuesday, it helped them win.

LMAO!!!! you guys are Aholes lol lol.... I wasn't feeling to comfortable with saying 13th man right before i posted lol but my logic was 12 guys on the team obviously supporting and the fans being the 13th guy..... LMAO Terrible

Michael

What do you think about a new lineup of

C: JOB III
PF: Mickey
SF: Martin
SG: Coleman
PG: Hickey

With your bro coming off the bench getting some big time 3's with more open looks?

Seemed to work great in game 1.
