Why it will be difficult for Robinson to sign with LSU

In the last 6 drafts LSU has had 2 OL taken:
Herman Johnson - out of the league
Joe Barksdale - barely hanging on
If you were a young man basing your football future on this one decision, would you go to LSU? Forget about state pride, this is a business decision for prospects at his level.

Well considering stud was the oc for the last few years I think it would be different now with cam

Not saying the sky is falling. If I were a defensive prospect, I would beg to sign with LSU! All I am talking about is OL prospects. Specifically one that is very highly rated. Now Collins, Alexander, Turner, etc. might change that for LSU if they continue to progress. But based on recent history, Miles/Stud do not get OL in the NFL. Sorry, but it is true.

I'm getting to the point that I don't care anymore where kids go. I personally can't see why the Louisiana kids would not go to LSU, but maybe I was raised differently. Seems like every kid in this state would choose us cause we are the home school and we are always elite. What the hell are these Louisiana parents teaching their kids? My dad would bitch slap me if I didn't jump on an LSU offer! I think it's weird to grow up here in Louisiana and go to an Alabama or other school with a scholorahip to LSU. These recruits grew up in the golden days too which makes even less sense! Where is the state pride?

We really haven't even signed any high profile offensive linemen though. Alabama, however, definitely has and it's shown.
La'el and Vadal are our first highly touted linemen signed in a long time, and they look just fine. Now that Collins is back at tackle and Alexander with a year under his belt, I think the line will be a bright spot on the team.
And I agree with the consensus that Robinson is a heavy Alabama lean, but shite it's mid-June. A lot is going to change for a lot of recruits.

You're looking at it from a fans perspective, not a recruits perspective. Even so, it's extremely common for a kid to leave the state for college, whether they're an athlete or not

Cameron Robinson can go to ULM and be a top pick.

it's true, and a lot of LSU fans miss the hypocrisy when we get Tony Brown, Ed Paris, Deondre Clark, Blacknall, etc.
But this one would sting. I doubt Alabama has lost many, if any, from their biggest pipeline in the state. I want to come to terms that he's all alabama, but I keep telling myself it's just june. Plus there's a lot of football to be played. A lot can change if we eek out a win in tuscaloosa

We will be fine, weather Cam decides to come here or not.

I am looking at it from a fan's perspective , but I am confused as to why so many Louisiana recruits are not LSU fans I guess.

The name to watch throughout this whole process is Bakarri Guice. He was Cams middle school coach, Shows hired him when the transfer To WM went down. He is current DB coach at WM. Last 2 years has worked Bama camp. If Saban told him to slob his knob he'd drop to his knees on the spot. Also a candidate for Bama new player personnel director.
In other words this is the bag man for Bama to C Rob
