I don't think there will ever be a secondary as good as this one was. The depth was just crazy.
CB
Patrick Peterson- 5th overall pick in 2011
Morris Claiborne- 6th overall pick in 2012
Tyrann Mathieu- 2-3 round pick in 2013
Tharold Simon- 3-4 round pick in 2013
Ron Brooks- 3rd round pick in 2012
S
Brandon Taylor- 3rd round pick in 2012
Craig Loston- unknown where he can be drafted next year
Eric Reid- Should be a first round pick in 2013 or early second
Jai Eugene- undrafted

You mean the 2011 season?
Edit: no Peterson on 2011. 2011 is when most of that talent was developed though.

The 2015 unit has the potential to challenge that group. And yes I'm serious.

True that Defensive backfield is seriously better than some in the nfl.

Claiborne and Peterson will continue to do well in the NFL, but their first round status means nothing in terms of their viability in the league. Not to mention the fact that neither of them at this point are considered top 5 corners, though Peterson is certainly an elite return man. Also, none of the safeties on the 2010 team have proven anything in the NFL so it's hard to assert the overall backfield could beat out an NFL team's at this point.

First round viability means nothing

quote:Certainly. But it has no bearing on the contention that the 2010 DBs are better than some NFL team's.
It does to young men you're trying to recruit.

You seriously would take some of the worst nfl backfields over that group? Honest question. Not saying they are elite nfl group but better than some.
