Personally I wanted him to NOT pick us. Underdog role has worked out far. Feel like people finally believe in us though.

No, he didn't and won't pick a winner of the game.

I want to say, "You people care way too much about what the TV people say."
But I've seen what the TV peoples, especially the ESPN people, have the power to do with their position. They had the power to make many believe a borderline top 5 USC team should be in the NC Game in 2003. And this year, they had the power to convince the masses and the foolish voters that Alabama deserved a rematch in the NC Game despite the fact that OK State had a far superior season to Alabama and had not already lost to LSU.

Wait, what?
What should the top 5 have looked like before the bowls in 2003? I can't wait to see what 2 and 3-loss teams you had above 1-loss USC in 2003.

Yes, just caught the last few minutes on ESPN where Kirk surprisingly said that LSU was the better team on Nov. 5th. Stating our Tigers played for 4 quarters!
We've known all along that LSU is a formidable team. What took Kirk so long?

Well, that will disappoint thousands of our fans who have victim mentality.

He did not pick us to win the BCSNC game. He did say we were the better team on November 5 as we played very consistently the entire game with no decrease in intensity. I don't think he can pick the NC game as he is announcing. Darn I wa hoping ESPN would borrow the very unique and special Vern Lundquist for this game. He is definitely one-of-a-kind if you get my drift.

A malady LSU fans have long suffered with.

Yeah I talked to a few players today and they all agreed they weren't going to play as hard now that they heard Herbstreit was going to pick them to win.

that's funny because he has said after Nov 5th that "Bama outplayed LSU all game long"

Been telling you all along it's more based on production meetings than it is analyzing game film.

Kirk is starting to realize that all throughout the year when he came up with every reason possible, he was WRONG. He now says we play "4 quarter football", thats the only way football is played?

Oh I don't doubt it
My beef is with the BCS and the ability for the system to be influenced.
This is suppose to be amateur sport but the Money has and is ruining it.
Some sort of playoff is needed.

Any voting system will be influenced by mass media. College football is a bit different in that it's really difficult to tell the difference between certain teams that play different schedules in different conferences, and its all subjective anyway in a pure voting system, and in the end there are usually only a couple/three of teams in contention.

The one thing, that many people don't seem to understand, that they DO NOT HAVE THE POWER OVER is the scoreboard.
Why the FRICK do some of you even care what others think?
