Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Alfred Blue. Blue dropped a 5 yard pass
Jarrett Lee passed to Odell Beckham for 4 yards.
Jarrett Lee passed to Odell Beckham for 6 yards.
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Chase Clement. Dropped a 24 yard pass
Jarrett Lee passed to Spencer Ware for 9 yards.
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Kadron Boone. A 32 yard pass right through his hands
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Odell Beckham. 29 yard pass that hit him in both hands
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Rueben Randle. Thrown away
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Michael Ford. Outlet man, yet never looked for the ball.
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Deangelo Peterson. Thrown behind him. Got one hand on it, near pick.
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Chase Clement. Dropped a 5 yard pass
Jarrett Lee passed to Jarvis Landry for 3 yards.
Jarrett Lee passed to Michael Ford for 4 yards.
Jarrett Lee passed to Deangelo Peterson for 18 yards.
Jarrett Lee passed to Rueben Randle for 10 yards. Touchdown
Jarrett Lee passed to Deangelo Peterson for 11 yards.
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Rueben Randle. Overthrown
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Michael Ford. Got one hand on it, led too much
Jarrett Lee passed to Deangelo Peterson for 4 yards.
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Kadron Boone. Good defensive play. Ball was well thrown
Jarrett Lee passed to Deangelo Peterson for 30 yards.
Jarrett Lee passed incomplete to Odell Beckham. Dropped 15 yard TD pass that he got both hands on

Jarrett Lee passed to Odell Beckham for 36 yards. Phantom holding

Besides his 99 yards passing, Lee had 6 dropped passes that would have been good for another 110 yards. By dropped, I mean the ball was placed where both hands were on the ball.

Then there was the 36 yard phantom hold. There were also 2 PI calls where the ball was on the money. All told, Lee had a possible 245+ yard night.

Lee had 5 other incompletions. 1 was a throwaway, 1 where Ford never looked for the ball, 1 was a great play by the defense that was on target to Boone, 1 was a long overthrow to Randle, and 1 was an out to Ford, who got one hand on it, but he was led too much.

In conclusion, only two passes were “inaccurate.” Pretty refreshing for the passing game for a change

Agree and he didn't look at his receivers with an attitude if they didn't catch it either. He just huddled up for the next down.

Wow.

So Lee was perfect yesterday and everyone else was wrong.

Didn't fans get on JJ for not owning up to not playing out of his mind?

Lee was average just like what we got last year at the position.

(P.S. Ford couldn't catch a low thrown ball behind him even if he was looking back for the ball. That was a panic throw.)

Isn't that the point in having an outlet man?

Ford needed to get his head around a second sooner. Lee (hindsight being 20/20) ideally should have held onto the ball a second longer.

These sort of things will get addressed by the coaches. If it was Fords fault they will explain it to him. If it was Lee's fault they will explain it to him. These type of not being on the exact same page should become less of an issue as the season progresses.

That is one aspect of the game where Ware really shines above Ford. Doing those OTHER things. Hell right now I think Ware has the best hands on the team.

first it wasn't low and Ford was 5 yds pass the line of scrimmage

it wasn't a perfect throw but it wasn't awful

only time I saw him panic was on the sack

Guy played well. Encouraged I am

You are defining a drop differently than it is typically defined.

A drop is generally defined as an unforced error...a ball that should be caught the LARGE majority of the time.

To be fair, that was not a good throw anyway. It took a GREAT catch by a WR who had nobody around him to make that catch.

Lee's play was average last night. He may play better moving forward. But, if we get that kind of play the entire year, we will have the same kind of problems we had at QB last year.

Which of the six were not "dropped?"

You could also argue the other way. some of his completions were inaccurate passes the the receivers had to make good catches on, ie. the pass to beckham where the corner fell down and Lee nearly overthrew him. There was also another play where I forget who it was dove to the ground to catch a ball that was poorly thrown.

Drops are going to be a part of every game. It was the same thing last year. Lee played well for it being his first start in a while considering the circumstances. He did not light the world on fire and still needs to improve greatly, but he does not need to be great with our defense and play makers.

well the one to clement down the middle was a great play by the DB. Yes the ball hit him in the hands but the DB knocked the ball out. The same with the deep pass to Beckham in the endzone.

You might want to rewatch those

LINK

Clement had the ball so log, the announcers called it a fumble. He lost focus. The DB never touched OBs TD catch

10/22-98 is 10/22-98, no matter how you slice and dice it.
A really good QB told me once 95% of incs were his fault.
He always should've placed the ball where the WR didn't have to adjust, or in the case of a pbu, shouldn't have been thrown at all, since each one is an int waiting to happen.

I don't recall you starting any topics dissecting drops and misses last year?

good points , TlsuGGER
negative people will always look at the cup as 1/2 empty in life.
I choose to look at it as 1/2 full.
Life is so much more enjoyable that way.

And by the way, I thought Lee did an excellent job running the offense .

When the ball never makes it to the WR, hard to dissect drops or picks or QB runs

if the ball hits you in both hands, you have to catch it.
