Just curious to see which of the young guys people expect to see, now that we've seen some of them play a little.

Jeeze, that's so far away. I really can't give an educated guess because you neevr know who's going to fall off and who's going to step up.

I'm not going to hold you to this. It's more for fun than anything.

too many variables. in the best possible scenario, it might push towards the top ten, but we won't have the individual quality across the board that the top five teams in the world have.

that doesn't really matter. today, holden and bradley have qualities that will give any team trouble. clint dempsey should still be alright. landon donovan might have some problems depending upon how his physical attributes, well attribute, deteriorates.

Anyone else think Bedoya will be contributing?

You don't know if guys like Renken, Lletget, Gyau, Gil, Kitchen, etc. will have broken in by this time.

I'm not sure, but if everyone is healthy I think our best line up right now is.

---------Agudelo - Altidore-----------

Dempsey - Jones - Holden - Donovan---

Bocanegra - Demerit - Ream - Chandler

-----------------Howard------------------

Bench

Bradley
Bunburry
Edu
Hanahmen
Gooch
Lichaj
Spector

Yeah those guys are pretty talented. I worry about Donovan and Dempsey with respect to their age. Donovan's effectiveness could rapidly deteriorate with age, and Dempsey plays so hard who knows how his body will react after 30. I'd be comfortable with them coming off the bench if we have young players capable of exceeding them.

Also, any 2014 WC roster that doesn't include Freddy Adu starting as the attacking center midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 is poppycock

Eric Lichaj, Perry Kitchen, Gale Agbossoumonde, Tim Ream, Omar Gonzalez, Anthony Brooks, Kofi Sarkodi, Zac McMath (GK), Zarek Valentine . . are all options defensively.

Alejandro Bedoya, Mix Diskerud, Eugene Starikov, Dillion Powers, Kevin Huezo, Luis Gil, Sebastian Lletget, Bryan De La Fuente, Victor Garza, Greg Garza, Conor Shanosky . . .are all options in the midfield.

We have a lot of promising young forwards as well. Emilio Orozco, Joseph Gyau, Omar Salgado, Adrian Ruelas, Bobby Wood.

gyau is one of those players, like chandler and agudelo (and donovan and beasley), that will probably be ready for his international debut about ten minutes after he makes his first team debut due to his physical attributes.
