Phoenix Design Works (daily anti-Toonces thread)

(this was mentioned in the Toonces thread that got whacked last night)
Phoenix Design Works is the company that created Toonces. I just wanted to show you all some of the other crap they have done. If you visit their website ( LINK), you can scroll through the different pro teams and universities they've done work for. Here's some of the fine work they have done for LSU:
And some logos Phoenix Design Works has created for other schools that look similar to our beloved Toonces (I guess the LSU marketing department doesn't care if we're unique or not):
Smokey
Popcorn hog (Arky fans hate this one)
The worst is this (note how so much effort was made to set LSU apart from everyone else):
If anyone from LSU reads this, we all hate Toonces. The logo on the football helmet is there because it doesn't suck. Put it on everything else

The pics in the OP are just a small sample of the crap they have churned out. Seriously you would think they're designing logos for Walt Disney.

I would jump down from the student section and stop the team from running onto the field with those helmets on. If I couldn't stop them, I would just lay down and let them trample me to death.

Seriously. If you look at what they have for Ole Miss, honestly it's just a block font with some little features that you could do in like two seconds in Photoshop. I could go in Photoshop right now and do this crap and I have zero training, which goes to show how pathetic this company is

I don't know anything about this company or their experience, so I can't weigh in on that. They do however have a rather large list of clientele. I actually like their designs for smaller universities. They seem to work for them.
I just prefer a more traditional logo.

Recycling the same format for logos and changing the color here and a texture there is pretty weak.

However, I will say this. I've heard that LSU prefers to not use this logo because it is too complicated to use on a lot of items. I can see that argument.

I guess. But in those instances, we could go with this:
But I have so many shirts, hats, cups, etc from the 90s with the football helmet tiger on them. If it wasn't a problem then, shouldn't be now.
