Those of you not in local market with dish network

You may want to call to inquire. At the end of this piece it sounds like 421 CST is available everywhere on dish. Don't kill the messenger I'm just trying to help. To me, if I didn't have it, it'd worth 5-10 min on the phone with DN to find out what's up. Just saying. Good luck. I hope everyone, everywhere sees the three tiger wins this weekend.

I ordered Dish because it offered CST and I asked them that before they hooked it up and they assured me I would have it. Now when I go to the channel that is supposed to be cst it is fox sports. I Called them and they said to get cox I have to have the BR or NO local package and I have the Alexandria local package. Stupid bastids couldn't have told me that when I asked them the first time before they hooked it up

Call them and tell that you have moved to Jefferson Parish (give them a real address) and when it's over tell them you moved back. It worked with a friend of mine.

So, tigerfan4life, they switched his programming (which added CST)and when he told them he moved back, they didn't switch it back?

His story was this...My wife and I are temporarily splitting I am taking the reciver with me and temporarily living with my friend at his place. I will have a permanent adress in a few weeks. In which case I will inform you of in the future. So I wanted to set the reciever for the local programming here. ONE WEEK LATER "my wife and I got back together etc., etc..... so far so good on reception.

So he never moved. and he still is waiting to tell them that he moved back. I gave him my address and he now gets CST for my market.

Done everything you said and it worked I get the programming but still am not getting a picture on the channels. They said it could take up to an hour so I am keeping my fingers crossed

I just told them I was working there for a few weeks. Still have the screen saying they are fixing my local programming. All other channels work though. Guy said it may take up to an hour

Check the local CBS, NBC, ABC affiliates, then you know it took.

Yea they pick up but still no picture on them but they are new Orleans area channels

Any way to do get this done on just one of your receivers but keep your regular local programming on your other(s)?

Just called him...he said it took about 30 minutes the operator changed the zip code or something for the programming to take effect. I don't have dish so I'm not familiar with the procedure.

Can you still keep your current mailing address? May consider doing this since my local package here in the New Iberia area doesn't have an NBC affiliate.
