No phone line here in the mtns.....just cell phone....so i guess im ok with that.....ok so we're talkin dish here right? i have dish, not direct tv. and ill get the n.o. news up here till i change back again? hell ill just tell them that ill be down there for two weeks and then back here so they wont change my billing address....good thing is, my sis lives in n.o.

They're telling me it won't work because I would need a different dish.
ETA: Saying I need dish 1000.4 and I have dish 500.

Just got off the phone with dish and they said I would have it active in 5-10 minutes. I'll check when I get home from work. I told them I was taking a trip to Baton Rouge for the weekend and taking the dish with me. Gave them the address of the house I had when I lived there. They said just to call when I returned to Mississippi and they would switch it back.

I might try to keep it if it does work, I can't get any of the major networks on Dish where I live (frackin Mississippi

This is hilarious...Dish is gonna be really confused at the end of the month when they see how many people moved to BR for 4 days.

For those with dishnetwork, press Menu, 6, 1, 1 to get to the point dish screen. CST is on Satellite 110, Spotbeam 23. If you are able to receive a strong signal, all you have to do is tell dish your job has temporarily moved you to Baton Rouge. Take an actual Baton Rouge or New Orleans are address and add an apt # to it. If you are nervous about doing this on the phone, you can go to the dish website and do it through an online chat. This only works if you are able to get the signal on Satellite 110 and Spotbeam 23.
Make sure to tell them you want to change your service address, but keep your billing address the same for obvious reasons.

Made the call to dish. Couldn't have worked out better. Oddly enough, my local channels stayed the same but now I catch Fox Sports Southwest and CST. Awesome. No need to switch back for me.
